Custom frame with seat for DD Ranger Bag

I love my dd ranger bag, but I was wanting to incorporate a seat into it. I was thinking of building a lightweight pvc frame into it. Maybe with a seat hinged to the frame that opens with the top zipper pocket.

What are some thoughts about possibility of this?

Trying to do it without putting too much "damage" to the lining. Would I be losing much storage in the top and disc compartments?

i was thinking about this today. I don't own a ranger, but I was thinking about buying one if this would be possible. One way I could think of doing this would be putting a frame in the bottom for support and then one in the top. For the lid, you could use something thin like a piece of particle board. Maybe the back horizontal pvc pipe where the lid would attach could be replaced with a piece of hardwood. You could then easily use a piano hinge to make that lid. Add a foam cushion then done!
