Yeah, you have to be careful traveling across cowboy states, those redneck cops love to harass anyone who doesn't fit the good 'ol boy image. And anyways their job is to write speeding tickets to bring in revenue for their little town by fleecing interstate travelers who are going a little heavy on the gas pedal. Also, be very careful around the Mexico or Canada border. Lots of random check points full of drug dogs.
SUVs are very suspicious when they're looking for transporters of contraband, and anyways they drink buckets more of gas than something more reasonable. The best strategy is to drive a mid-sized rental car, they all look very inconspicuous. Get a haircut and shave, look more like a mormon. Drive sober. Use the cruise control, and drive 5 MPH over the speed limit. Get with the discipline, or don't drive around with 78.5 pounds of weed.
