So far so good... Havent sat on it much... I could see if you weigh alot or pounce on it it could over time

Is that cart built from scratch or modified from an existing one? Looks good, btw.

1/2" thick Birch plywood... Really lightweight for plywood... Seems strong also...

Yep, birch ply is used all the time for fins and other items in rocketry for that exact reason - lightweight and strong. However thinner varieties in large sheets warp easily which is probably true for any thin plywood but birch seems to be excessive. I'd say that was a good choice on material. How did you connect the 90 degree sections?

I dato the side pieces 5/16 deep 1/2 wide channel. Cut it with circular saw and used chisel and knife. Mainly held together with waterproof glue and finish nails... I cut out all the letters just to try and lighten it ups

Then got neon green construction paper painted inside black... Got it laminated and glue on from inside... So should b good

Yup, birch is light and strong. Used for underlayment all the time.

Did you do any sealing/waterproofing, or just paint it?

I've had similar thoughts of using cedar and pocket screws.

Nice job dude! Looks great and I like your choice of wheels. Interesting axle setup, does it seem pretty sturdy this way? (Looks to me like u bolts) .

Was searching through the DIY cart thread and saw these pictures and these two carts look a lot alike. I assume it's the same cart right? It looks like you had a umbrella holder in the older version. What changes did you make between the old and the new? I see you removed the drawer idea right?
