Reviving an old social group as a thread here now. Anyone can post their adventures with a discs-in-hand round.

My most recent discs-in-hand round was at my only sanctioned tournament to be played this year. I carried a Platinum Illusion, HD Demon, DX Roc, and BG P Model US (175 gram) in my hands, with a single throw of a 140 gram BG P Model US that I kept in a bag with my towel, water bottle and such. I did not feel like I was not missing any shots for the course, and it was one that I play regularly so I knew what I needed. Execution still wasn't perfect and I had a few bad breaks, but I don't think different discs would have helped. I finished tied for second in my division which was a happy surprise!

Whenever I feel like racing through or just messing around I go to one of my local pitch n putts with a Champion Zephyr and a smile.

I play all my DG with just a few discs in hand; that's the way I've found I get the most enjoyment. The course I always play is pretty short so it works with just 2 or 3 DX discs, all under 150g, throw & go, a good walk thru the park. Every time out I make at least one unexpectedly good throw (for me) which makes it worthwhile. #FrisbeeFun

I played a round at the local short course last weekend carrying Wizard/Mirage/Stego. The only holes where I'd want anything faster than a putter are the 2 safari holes that I play to get back to the parking lot.

Hmmmm...this sounds like a fun tournament or league format. You can bring as many discs as you want, but you must carry all your discs (in your hands) while throwing.
Any dropped discs while throwing is a 1 stroke penalty.
