I was thinking of doing a dye of a company's logo (moreso the name than the image), but it's marked as a registered trademark (a circled r). Do any of you know if a registered trademark is considered copyrighted? I poked around google a bit, but didn't come up with any real answers. From what I read, because I wouldn't be producing anything as if it came from their source, I'm in the clear... It sounds like it's mainly there for the people trying to sell fakes - people selling "Oakley's" for 10 bucks on the sidewalks of D.C. come to mind.

Dave's right, The problem comes when you start hawking discs with nike swooshs for profit. If you just dye it for yourself I wouldnt worry.
