So there is an auction today and o e of the items listed for sale is a 1050c deskjet plus plotter that is advertised as "works" greAt. I want to know what a good price would be for this model. Refurbished units retail for 1250 in this model. If I can pick up this plotter for 300 clams, how easy is it to get I k and supplies for a discontinued hp plotter?

Generally (and this is speaking more about their business-grade printers) HP maintains supply availability for a long time after production stops. Even when that does run out, other companies tend to keep things going. Unless it was a one-off or terrible product, their sheer volume ensures that there will always be someone out there to buy the supplies.
