First runs have the flight block on the back of the flight plate without the numbers. Protos have nothing but "made in USA" and maybe a indication of it being a proto like "proto B".

No, its not a firm... but does feel alittle more firm than say a production medium

All my first runs are Mediums. Ive not owned an 08 VO VP so I could not say. What I can say is that if feels very different from any VP ive ever owned.
