[Question] Whats in your bag 2013 !

My bag right now is a mess.. I'm looking for more overstable discs.

It looks like this.

Destroyer (Domey Champ, and Anthons)
Tresspass (Lucid)
Firebird (11x Champ)
Shock (2nd run)
Volts (Workhorse I LOVE this disc)
Rivers (GL)
Tensor
Suspect
Vector
Tangent
Wizard

The only discs that aren't going anywhere are the Firebird, Volt, River, Tangent and Wizard. Which is a solid bag right there and all the little things in between are what are getting tweeked and messed with.

Whats in my sig.. if it gets windy i may throw in my m2. Also going to experiment with a tursas soon..just waiting for it to arrive. I dont have a nice turnover mid yet.

Right now I'm carrying:

Distance
Star Destroyer - Flat shots with a strong finish/flicks
Pro Destroyer - Max distance
Star Valk - Straight shots
Star Valk - Hyzer flips and turnovers/anhyzers

Fairway
Champ Monster - Pearly X Mold, hyzers/forehands/overhands/flicks/trick shots
Star Eagle - Flat shots with a strong finish/flicks
Star Eagle - Straight shots
Star Eagle - Hyzer flips and turnovers/anhyzers

Midrange
CE Roc - Flat shots with a strong finish/flicks
DX Roc - Straight shots
DX Roc - Hyzer flips and turnovers/anhyzers

Putters
KC Aviar - Flat drives/approaches with a strong finish
Yeti Aviar - Hyzer flips and turnovers/anhyzers
KC Aviar - Putter, grippy San Marino goodness

Specialty
Champ Monarch - Seriously understable distance shots/rollers.
X-Link Ridge - Trying this out as a windy day approach disc

I carry a couple backups of my most used discs for practice shots. Sometimes I start relying too much on using the perfect disc instead of making the shot, so I take some discs out for a while in an attempt to improve my line shaping skills.

My bag is a mess too xjfk. Too many new discs coupled with a Pokemon mentality has left my bank account and bag upended.

Looks like this now:

3x wizard
Pa1
Pa4

M2
M3
2x M4 (love!)

2x River
2x escape

Trespass
D3
D4
Villain

Wizards, m4, rivers and escapes seeing the most use.

distance

2 pro worlds katana
s line PD
star wraith turnover/roller

What is that, 16 diff molds? Holy cow.

Sure. I'm old and I've been throwing discs with the the same terrible form for many, many years. This allows me to have a terrific understanding of exactly what each disc is going to do for me. There is no guessing.

I've always been in the " throw the disc that fits the shot" camp, and not in the "make one disc do everything" camp, especially these days, when you can buy a disc for every slot.

SDS Destroyer
ESDS Destroyer

Fairway
Opto River (most drives 275-300)
Opto Trident (windy-day driver, overstable duties over 250, and thumbers that I want to stay straighter and more vertical)

Midrange
Glo Flx Buzzz (most drives 200-275 and most approaches)
Opto Pain (use in place of the Buzzz for drives and approaches when there is too much wind for the Buzzz)

Putters

This thread reminds me: At RattlingChains.com, we are looking to resurrect our "What's in the bag?" series after the summer. Since so many have contributed here, I thought I would see if anyone might like to contribute to our posts on the site, similar to this one.

If you are interested, please PM me or email [email protected]. It's definitely fun to read about what everyone throws, and I think those outside of DGCR would be interested, too.

My brother picked up a cannon a few weeks back and the first time he used it he got an Ace. We were both awestruck on how far that disc can go. I really love the legacy brand and I'm proud to support our local course/disc golf store which incidentally is owned by none other than Steve Rico. They have such a great selection of discs there but never try to push their own products on you. For that I am very greatful to them and their staff.

WTF ?? ^^^^^^ !!

VP's dont change, ever, so why do you carry four of them ??

I can see the Ascents though, one firm, beat, flat to turnover disc.
One medium, new for solid stable/overstable fairway shots, and one soft for stuff you want to sit down and stick.
Makes sense.

But the VP's ? no comprende. 'splain it to me Ricky.

Soft, Medium, and 2 Firms (Putter and Back up)

And while you're right that the Soft and Medium will never change, the firms do beat in (albeit extremely slowly). My main putter (which I also drive and approach with in a lot of situations) is getting the fade slowly beat out of it (but it's still as HSS as day 1).

The soft for approaches that HAVE to stick right where it lands. The Medium for shots I don't want to skip (or for cold weather or extremely wet eather). And then my firm is my go to (and it's back up).

Edit: The VP is THE disc I am throwing inside of 200' if I have enough room to work or there's not a huge tailwind (Summit time). And I make a LOT of shots under 200' in a round, thus why I have VPs for specific roles. Easily my most thrown and beloved mold.
