Mostly Open - Beginner Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Very open course on College grounds. Truly a beginners course as it is forgiving with wide open, well-maintained fairways. 9, 10, 11 present very narrow fairways and a challenge. A poor drive here could lead you into very thick woods and brush. 17 plays over marsh area.

Cons:

Where is #8s basket? Found tee box but have played twice and have not located the basket. In fact one map in the files section is missing 8 all together. Played 9 twice instead.
Rubber tee pads in very poor condition. Further, signage is non-existent. Who is responsible for this course?
New construction zone in front of #13 tee box. Must tee off from another location. You decide...no signs.

Other Thoughts:

Have both maps at the ready. Some tee boxes are not accurately mapped and may be 20 yards from map location.
Play summer or evenings when less students are out. Some holes play over walkways.
In my opinion, proper signage and better maps would bring this from a POOR rating to a REASONABLE rating.

absoultely crap 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 9, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

the only pro I can think of is that it is close to home, and that they cut the grass (most of it)

Cons:

1) absolutely no hole markings and online maps that try to show holes are inaccurate at best. you will spend as much time as you play, looking for the next hole.

2) right in the middle of campus- go when there are no classes, or you will come out of the round with 3-5 head shots.

3) holes are right on top of each other, and not all of the baskets are numbered, you will play to the wrong baskets numerous times.

4) layout of holes is without effort. 200 ft drive and a moderate putt for almost each hole.

Other Thoughts:

This could be a nice course- but it seems that Satan put it on the earth to drive modern man insane. The college doesn't seem to care for the upkeep of pads and all of the maps lead you into the Bermuda triangle. The 2 maps on this website contradict each other on many holes.
I was so frustrated that we just skipped the last 2 holes and went home.
The 3 wooded holes have potential- I crushed the satellite dish with my valkryie and was hoping that I didnt knock out some kind of signal to the college.
