Pros:
Angostura DGC is a 9 hole course playing on a hill overlooking the reservoir. Scenery is amazing with the water in view at all times. Longer than the typical 9 hole course with 2 legit par 4s. Hole 2 is a fun throw down then up hill through a gap. Hole 7 is flat but has a massive evergreen shrub thing that you must throw around on the drive then an open approach. Holes 5 and 6 were my favorites. Hillside slopes pretty severely down to the right on both so if you late release your RHBH drive you will have some scrambling to do. Also those greens have the best views of the water 100' plus below. Baskets were discatchers in fine shape. Navigation was straightforward.
Cons:
Not too much to the course really. A few forced lines but pretty much open throws. Spiky stuff in the ground. I saw several cactii and other inhospitable vegetation. Tee pads were natural and rutty. Not a big deal for me but with the hole lengths it would be nice to have a better tee to rip those drives.
Other Thoughts:
At the time I visited it was $8 for the park day pass. Can't remember what the season pass was but pretty reasonable especially since it covered other parks as well.
Camping on site is always a bonus for me. Stayed at the best site in the primitive loop with a decent view of the water.
Worth the entry fee? Sure, play a round or two and head down the road to the beach. There is some kind of restaurant down by the boat launch but was not open when I visited.
