Very easy and very beautiful 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 17, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Absolutely beautiful
-Not very crowded
-Protected baskets make you practice your upshots

Cons:

-Doesn't require very many shots
-Short

Other Thoughts:

Difficulty (1.5/5): Not an overly difficult course. On my first 18 I was able to post a -2, whereas my average round at other courses is close to a +10. You usually have a fairly open drive then the difficulty lies in the approach shot as most baskets have guardian trees.

Maintenance (2/5): Baskets were fine, no complaints there. The teeboxes were worn in dirt patches that I imagine would be unusable after a rain. A few of the teeboxes had some loose rocks that made me stumble a couple of times. There was numbered posts for the teeboxes for holes 1-9, but nothing for the alternative tees. Grass was kept short and no excessive brush.

Variability (1.5/5): Very little variability. I could have realistically played the entire round with my utility control driver and putter. There was no real fairways, rather there was trees scattered throughout the entire course. This was enough to force you to shape a few lines if you wanted, but almost everytime there was a tree right in the middle I was able to throw a low hyzer and skip back into place. The alternative tees did require different shot shapes, but not different discs.

Flow/Experience (5/5): This is where the course really shined. I played with someone who knew the course well, so it wasn't difficult finding any of the teeboxes. Even if I wasn't, I think it was laid out in such a manner that would have made it relatively easy for me to find. But the experience and scenery turned what would have been a humdrum course into a wonderful, relaxing pair of rounds. You're playing next to a lake with just enough breeze rolling through to keep you cool but not enough to affect your shots.
