Beautiful and challenging! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

* Challenging course for beginners
* Well cared for and mowed
* Beautiful scenery
* Loops back to first tee
* Multiple seating places for breaks between holes or rounds

Cons:

* Wasn't clear how you play the back 9 holes
* Lots of rocks to damage discs on
* Private course for LVPOA members
* There is no designated parking area, just offside the road anywhere in the dirt.

Other Thoughts:

Each tee has a map of the hole and a sign pointing to where the next tee is for the first 9 holes.

A lot of the tees are in the middle of wooded areas, as well as very narrow approaches. Make sure to wear long pants if you don't have excellent aim.

There are haphazard benches at end of hole 2 and beginning of hole 4, with picnic tables around holes 1 and 6.

Great course set alongside the lake! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 26, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Well maintained course that plays along the lake
-Baskets are surrounded by beautiful oak groves, makes for challenging but fun approaches/putts
-Comfortable benches at some holes
-Fairways are in great shape and the course as a whole is wide open and has just enough tree coverage to make shots interesting.
-Good course for beginners, but should keep advanced players interested.

Cons:

-Not a true 18 hole course as it has only 9 baskets and two sets of tee boxes to make 18.
-Course is set in a private park, but residents and security really don't seem to care if outsiders are disc golfing. Parking is limited and course is hard to find.
-The only holes that are not marked are holes 5 and 17. The front 9 tee boxes are marked by a small wooden stump with the hole #. The back 9 tee boxes are marked with a stone that has the hole # on it as well.
-Baskets are the plain silver ones that have some extra chains, but no yellow band.
-Most of the baskets are directly in front of the tee boxes and are require straight shots. It's nice to have a dog leg right or left every once in a while and this course doesn't offer any. Having said that, it's a great design for the lay of the land.

Other Thoughts:

Overall this is an outstanding course that I'm looking forward to playing again. Being set alongside the lake is obviously the best feature of this course, but it's true brilliance is the perfect combination of tree coverage and open fairways. The rolling meadows and well groomed terrain make this course top notch. Catch a round in the evening while the sun sets over the lake, jump in to cool off.
