Solid little pitch-and-putt

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Simple, accurate, and useful tee signs
-Wide open fairways that are excellent for nervous beginners
-I believe the baskets are old DGAs. In good repair with large number signs on them
-Concrete tee pads, not very long but neither is this course
-Simple layout that makes sense even if you are new to the course
-Good use of the available trees in the park to create some useful challenge.
-the care of the grounds is excellent and well cared for.

Cons:

-The course lacks variety, but that's no real complaint since it is aimed at beginners

Other Thoughts:

This is an ideal course to bring beginners to. I was visiting friends that had not played before, so we were able to drive 10 minutes to this course, play a round, and then get them set up on their own disc golf adventure. This course is a little too long for a true ace race for skilled players, but ideal for the novice. Glad this part of the park was set aside and cared for well.

Perfect Beginners Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 12, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

-- Wide open
-- Reasonable hole lengths for newer players
-- Seems to be well maintained

Cons:

-- could get boring for more advanced players

Other Thoughts:

Loved this course, mainly because I could build some confidence in it and actually scored a few pars and even had chance at birdie as a very new player. No real chance of losing a disc, except on 9 if you over throw the basket.

This is what a nine hole should be. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 4, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Approachable for new players, excellent practice course for vets to work the mids or drive some putters.
Field across the street for some field work, just throw away from the kids on the playground!

Cons:

Not a full 18. Gets super muddy after storms.

Other Thoughts:

I will play this course a hundred times over Griggs. This is the place to go if you need work on your game and then you can play Hoover or Pickerington for a full course. The care that went into/still goes into this course is five star!

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very nicely kept grounds and good signage. Nice course map for first-timers.
Good for practicing mid-range shots or long putts.

Cons:

A little too wide open and the dirt tees can be hazardous to anlkes.

Other Thoughts:

I have taken several people here for an introduction to disc golf and they have always enjoyed it. Very nice for getting in a quick round.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 19, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

I played this course just once and was hooked. I was also pleased to get a easy score after playing griggs the same day. I would say this course is the anti Delaware witch is a very long course.

Cons:

The holes are no longer than 300 ft. But you can't really complain to much because this course was made on a small area by eagle scouts who are okay but their no Disc Golf course designer.

Other Thoughts:

This course is great to play after getting beaten by any hard course to get your confidence up. Should also be played if you need a quick round. A well earned 3 stars I would play this course anytime

Good beginner / easy course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 14, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

+Well maintaned.
+Nice area.
+Seldom busy.
+Easy to get in a quick game.
+Water hazard on #9 makes for controlled tee shot.

Cons:

-Short course.
-Road runing next to course can be a bit of a hazzard to errant discs.
-Land available is limited so some fairways are close together.

Other Thoughts:

Even though you can sight Cons for this course, they really aren't. This course is what it is. The land was freely given for creation of the course and a nice relaxing course is what you get. The short holes, although not challenging to advance players, allow good practice of upshots and disc control. You can play an easy 18 in well under an hour so it's great for a lunchtime break from work. They have planted many more trees on the course so the difficulty is increasing.(although still easy). Great course in the space provided. Great for a few rounds of putting/upshot practice.

great for quick rounds 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 6, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

course plays quick, great for a lunch break round. let's you work on your short game. Water comes into play on hole 9.

Cons:

Fairways are very close to each other and a couple of tee signs are missing (respect the courses or they will disappear people, let's keep the sport alive)

Other Thoughts:

This is on a very small piece of land and has a course par of 29, could easily be all par 3s. Great job with the land given to use.
