Pros:
Bearcat DGC, named after the high school's mascot, is a beginner friendly course on the grounds of Rock Hill High School. It's a simple little nine-holer situated just below the parking lot. It's kind of an open field with scattered, mature trees and slightly rolling elevation as well as a creek. The tee signs are simple, but give the hole #, par and distance. The baskets are single chain Disc-catchers which are fine for this course. There are natural teepads. There are little post placed in the ground to show you where to throw from. The distances range in length from 145 ft. to 285 feet. The wind could prove to be a challenge. Navigation is a breeze. You can enjoy a round in 20 minutes.
Cons:
It's short! It's mostly for beginners and families. Those who play Winthrop Gold probably won't coming here for their warm-up rounds.
Other Thoughts:
A great little course to peak the interest of some high schoolers in disc golf. If I was a staff member at Rock Hills High, I 'd be all about sponsoring an after school disc golf club.
