When in the left position, this one's pretty easy - just throw a high hyzer and watch it run at the chains. In the right position (a few feet from the edge of the dirt road), it's actually easier to try and penetrate the wall of trees and fade left up the road. If you get through and fade far enough you'll have a very short putt.

Avoid the left side of the fairway! It's very easy to find yourself with no clear line over there. A line drive up the center is ideal but difficult to pull off. If you can get to the right and far enough up you'll have a run at the pin.

Unless you are confident in your precision driving skills, it's easiest to lay up to the top of the initial hill and drive to the pin from there. Despite the length of the hole, it is critical to stay on the fairway if you want to 3 or 4 it. Go too far to the left and you'll be in a world of hurt.

Scout this hole! From the teepad it looks like a wall of trees, but there's a small opening that allows a good flex shot to reach the pin.

Forehanders and lefties beware! The fairway is well packed and slopes slightly to the right. If you don't make it all the way to the green on a right fading shot it's very easy to slide into the drink. Even if you go way left into the woods, there are several lines to the pin that can't really be spotted from the fairway.

In the far position on the right (pic is in far position), it's easier to birdie by throwing a hyzer just to the right of the stone abutment on the far side of the river (behind hole 2's teepad). The ground there is nice and hard so you can get a good skip to the pin. Also, the pin is to the right and up in the trees a bit. Many first time players end up shooting straight ahead to hole 18 or to the left to hole 11.
