Not as crazy as ppl make it out to be! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 16, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Concrete tee pads
Bench and trash cans at every tee
Shade! Not many courses around here have it

Cons:

Chains are flimsy on the baskets
A few tee signs are missing
Mostly short straight holes (still wooded tho)
Signs showed Blue pads also? Did not see one or even a dirt spot where one could be.

Other Thoughts:

Many of the reviews talk about the creek and problems with it but I had 0 trouble, the water was about a foot deep anyway. Also many of the shots are dead straight so a Buzz or similar would be perfect on them.

Cool course but if you want woods I would say Heritage is the better choice.

The Colony 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 8, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Pretty course with a variety of looks and water hazards.
Bomb shots. Windy shots. Precision shots.

Cons:

This course has stolen 2 of my discs and 2 of my friends' discs.
The pond hole (which was slyly excluded from the photo gallery) is the main culprit.
A few holes can easily turn your score from par to + 5 because of the precision necessary.

Other Thoughts:

New concrete pads on most tees.

Quite interesting 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 24, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has a wide variety of shots and you'll get to use all of them in a whole round. Some great chances to air it out, and several risk / reward holes.

Cons:

This course is brutal in the mid-part with the heat, because there is 0 shade. As previous posters have mentioned, there really needs to be some clean-up of the edges, I was cleaning burrs off for hours! I'd also like to see concrete teeboxes put in or at least these patted down more.

Other Thoughts:

This has the beginnings of a good course in the dfw area. It's still a work in progress, but I'm looking forward to it being completed. The pond can be intimidating because of the reeds around it, but if you just don't over think it, you should be able to clear it. Be careful for snakes!

In progress 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Good mix of holes and shots. Way more challenging than the previous layout. Tee boxes are well maintained and the park is normally well kept by the city.

Cons:

Hole 6 pond is going to eat alot of discs (it has two of mine already). We need a bridge on hole 3 please too. Also there is alot left to clear and trample down now. Time and the designers hard work will take care of that tho.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 11, 12, 13 (the basket is in but no tee box yet), 15, and 16 are not fully finished yet. Don't expect a well groomed course yet as its a work in progress. Shoot high and hard on number 6 if you decide to go over the pond since the pond's low pressure causes your disc to drop. Don't over think it or it will psyche you out.
