Difficulty (4.5/5): This is a fairly short but very tight course. It was more difficult than my skills could support in many places. Accuracy is definitely at a premium for the majority of this course with lots of tree tunnels and gaps you have to hit.

Maintenance (2.5/5): The grass was kept sort and there wasn't really any brush off to the side of the fairways, just trees. I played the weekend after a pretty heavy rain and there was a few flooded/swampy areas in the fairways, which wasn't idea. The tee signs weren't great but the tee boxes were in good shape.

Variability (5/5): The true strength of this course. Off the tee you'll throw hyzers, anhyzers, tunnel ace runs, tunnel placement shots, long bombs where you have to aim for a specific side of the fairway. On hole six you'll have to decide if you want to risk carrying the lake or if you'll play it safe and layup. There's really only one hole that is open enough to where you can throw it as far as you want and not really worry about where you'll land. And even better, there's probably 5 holes that you could play different strategies with so I could foresee this course being extremely replayable.

Flow/Experience (2.5/5): I used the UDisc gps map to help me get around, otherwise I think I would have had a problem. The teepad for 3 was originally confusing because we could see baskets for 3, 18, 17, and 10. Getting between 3 - 4 would have been tough, as well as 9 - 10 and 12 - 13. Because of the poor condition of the tee signs, there isn't much help on the course of how to navigate, so bring a map! I definitely walked away happy from this course though, and I plan on coming back to play it once I have gotten a little better.

Well designed, technical course with some arm-stretching holes thrown in for balance. Tee pads and baskets are all in good shape, and the park seems fairly popular. The creative layout of the course forced me to use all the shots in my bag, which I like. There are also three holes that are marked as par 4 which seem generous.

There are some low spots that collect water after a heavy rain, so parts of the course turn into a shoe sucking mud pit. Also, hole 6 plays across a pond that forces you to carry 300' from the tee, or go swimming.

We came out on Christmas and there were a bunch of people out using the park. We had some folks stroll down the fairway of 11, just enjoying the views. There were a couple of guys using hole 18 for putting practice, and a family using the 15th fairway for batting practice. All in all, I would recommend this course for anybody, but beginners should bring diving equipment.

It's a nice, challenging course. Has technical shots, with some long easier shots. Good layout, you can find the next hole fairly easily, and a nice park.

The signs have either worn away or the papers are no longer there on many of the holes. Many you cannot see from the tee, this in and of itself is not a bad thing just makes you scout if you don't know the course.

Tee Boxes= Nice concrete pads on holes 1-3 and 10-18, most of which still have the crushed granite surrounding the concrete.
Baskets= mostly in good shape, practice basket on top hill next to parking lot.
Signs & Stuff= Playground near parking lot and holes 1-3, picnic table at hole 8, porta-potty between holes 13 & 14 (usually)
Design= Varied shot design, has a little bit of elevation, some technical holes, a couple of bombers and several ace runs. Once you go "into the woods" on holes 10-13 your score can change drastically. Overall a very fun but still challenging course to play.
Dave's Point= one of my first courses I played, it will always be special to me, so it gets a little extra love.

Tee Boxes= holes 4-9 still have crushed granite pads, not a fan. Only one set of permanent tees.

Baskets= Mostly in good shape, basket 9 is installed incorrectly, so be sure to check the chains before you putt

Design=I'm not a big fan of hole 18...many players dislike hole 11(I'm not one of them)

Signs&Stuff= several of the signs (9&12) are missing or unreliable.

Dave's Point=I really dislike the granite pads, TC Parks and Rec keeps promising to add concrete to 4-9.....that'll be nice.

One of my favorite courses to play. Concrete teepads or alt pin placement would really make this a 4 star or higher course for me. Played many rounds here and it still challenges me. One of the few courses where i feel a good sidearm really helps to have.

Probably one of my favorite courses to play on a regular basis. Has a really great mix of shots required. Has some really good wooded shots that require accuracy, hyzer/anhyzer shots, distance, elevation changes, and a few aceable holes.

Hole by hole breakdown:
1. Depending on the weather, the green can be fast. So, you'll want to adjust your shot accordingly for the skip or lack thereof. I've seen this hole played successfully with everything from a midrange to a 12 speed driver. Just a pure hyzer shot.
2. The most conventional way to play this shot is the forehand hyzer through the gap, and let the skip get you close to the pin. The easier route if you have the shot, is the thumber.
3. Ace run hole. Just a straight shot to the pin, putter or mid depending on your playing style.
4. There is the gorge on the right side of the fairway that many of discs have been thrown into. The only true risk is is you misjudge the wind and your putter/mid turns over. Can usually play the straight shot with a putter/mid or a fairway driver for more of a hyzer route.
5. Typically, unless you have over 500ft of power, just trying to blast out your first shot as far as possible to make for the easiest upshot for a 3. The green is on a hill and makes for a fast green if you hit the left side of the green. Not too many 2's taken here.
6. The wind comes into play a lot on this hole. Not a long shot over the water, but the wind can change that in a hurry. Depending on your power, it's a very two-able hole. I've seen the hole successfully played for the birdie with anything from a fairway driver to a distance driver, just depends on your line preference and playing style.
7. Feels like this should be an easy birdie hole, but the wind can make things a little rough, esp for the backhand thrower. The easiest play is the right hand forehand hyzer if you have the throw and let it skip into the green for the 2. Otherwise for the RHBH player, it's downhill and not a hard throw to get a putter or mid down there. The wind is usually in play though and can turn over the slower molds more easily into the rough.
8. Not the easiest of two's, but not the hardest either. Can be had with either the backhand mid turnover shot or a pure forehand hyzer. Usually trying to play a little right and high of the tree off the tee.
9. Just a straight to fade shot with a putter or mid.
10. I've seen this shot played many of ways. None really a guaranteed two. But pick your favorite gap shot, and let it rip.
11. Typically, most ppl want to play to the placement shot off the tee and get about halfway down the fairway for a more manageable three. Not too many ppl are two-ing this hole without an amazing throw in. Personally I prefer the putter or mid shot off the tee and then another putter shot for the upshot.
12. Playing a hyzer skip with something overstable just trying to get yourself an easy upshot. Can be a crapshoot as to where you land though.
13. I've seen this two parked with a thumber, but if you don't have that shot, you're typically putting out a placement shot with an overstable mold hoping to get as much skip towards the green as possible for an easy upshot for three.
14. Simple hyzer shot.
15. I've seen a two look on this hole a handful of times, but it's rare. Best shots I've seen were flex shots or hyzerflips down the fairway. Typically just trying to get yourself in position for the easiest second shot for a par though.
16. Seemingly a simple shot here. Usually taking a fairway here and just trying to hit the right gap and allow the disc to settle in near the basket. Can be a fast green depending on weather.
17. I've seen this hole 2'ed once in person, very rare. Typically just aiming for the gap at the bottom of the fairway trying to allow for an open upshot. Really want to avoid sawing off your drive and going into the rough on the left or landing short right, as the trees will make for a hard upshot.
18. I've seen this played a number of ways. None of which seems to be any better than the other. Hyzerflip to straight or a flat shot with a straight disc through the gap will work, there's a backdrop that can help, so you can use pretty much any speed of disc you'd like, as it'll stop you from going too far if you come in hot.

Located close by. It's got a little something for every skill level. Great little walk through the woods.

Would like to see some upgrades made to the tee boxes. Replace the maps for pin placement.

The course plays through a large well-kept park with some mixed terrain. Some minor elevation changes come into play on several holes, and are used pretty well to add some interest and challenge. There's a decent mix of open and wooded shots, including a couple nice open holes with protected pin positions. The more technical shots have a good balance of right and left turning holes that require a complete set of shots to score well.

There is some distance variety here, nothing huge but there are a few longer holes that offer the chance for throwing drivers. Water comes into play with a pond and creek offering some decent risk/reward decisions. One hole offers the choice to lay up to the pond then throw across or go for the riskier potential deuce off the tee. The tees and baskets are in good shape, no real footing issues that I noticed. Signage at the tees is adequate, with hole length and layout.

Navigation is not good here, with some long walks that aren't marked at all. Make sure you have the map printed or pulled up on your phone if you don't want to spend a bunch of time wandering around. Hole 3 is a cool shot across the creek but it's a long walk to the bridge after you throw your drive.

There are a few places where the walking path is in play, and it seems like the park gets a lot of non-disc golf traffic. The tees were in ok shape when I played, but some showed signs of rutting out, they could get bad if not maintained.

Beginners will find this course tough with some moderately punishing rough in spots, but it's not so tough that newer players won't be able to have fun here. More experienced players will find some decent challenges and variety here. I enjoyed this course, and would recommend it if you're in the area.

Good variety of shots needed to score well on this course, not really righty favored or lefty favored (balanced) ... except that two very short birdie holes (#s9, 14) have a slight righty advantage. I liked that there were tee shots that the righty FH flick anny was a better choice than the righty BH hyzer -- made the course more interesting.  I didn't use it on #12 (played a layup and longer approach to get a 3), but next time I'll try that FH anny.  (My second round we had a lefty and after he anhyzered for the best drive of the day, I realized that.)  The protected baskets on #s4 and 9 should make you not take those birds for granted, so be aware.  It was early winter so no reeds on #6 and pond was low, so the shot across was more like 285.  #8 is a blind shot, I used a RHBH turnover both times so be sure to go very high and wide if that's your shot of choice.  Saw others try lots of shots there aka thumbers, spike hyzers, RHFH.

On #10 a lot or reviewers thought it was tough to deuce; I had long deuce putts (45-60) both times by going midrange anny up and over the short trees on the left.  The first one would have been parked but hit a low branch by the basket on the way in and rolled backward.  I think you would need pretty good accuracy to go straight at it.  #11 is a sick hole (see other reviews) -- at least one other option needs to be opened up.  My suggestion would be to cut a reasonable opening above, then center the tee box to equalize for righty/lefty.  #13 needs a huge RHBH skip shot, flick roller, or LHBH roller to get close, but the casual water was there when I played so deuces were basically out of the question.  When playing for a safe 3, no need to use a driver.  On #15 I got deep both times with a BH roller, first time was 75 feet away and nearly birdied on approach.  I had practiced this one that morning and the S shot seemed tougher to me.  #17 -- if you can't blast it over the tree line (like me) then be sure to finish to the left side of the opening to get a clear approach to the basket.  #18 I didn't like the straight line to the basket at all.  All risk -- if you get through it's a likely deuce, but if you don't,  a sure 4.  I played the layup through the right hand opening going around the OB water (along #17's fairway) for the easy 3.

Like others said -- no restrooms, and for a course in a neighborhood you really need them.  I didn't see this course's woods having thick enough foliage to overcome the lack of restrooms.  Troublesome designs on #s11, 12, & 18 which basically limit the thrower's options.  The ace run holes (#s3, 9, & 14) are way too short if all three can be reached with a putter by an average disc golfer like myself.

I played this course basically blind at a recent tournament, so please take this review as coming from an am rated around 900 playing it for the first time.  Overall I liked the variety and the way the design was intended to make use of all shots; I didn't like the three holes (#s11, 12, & 18) which seemed to me to be very impractical, either from the guess & hope throwing lines perspective or poor balance of risk reward perspective.

-Baskets are in great shape.
-Doesn't seem to be too busy.
-Great mix of wide open and narrow tree passages.
-Plenty of benches and trashcans.
-Great use of available terrain and water.
-In the middle of suburbia. Great for quick rounds after work.
-Plays fast. My group of 3 with a new player finished in about 2 hours with 2 groups passing us.

-No bathrooms. There is a portapotty at the parking lot.
-Difficult to navigate the first time.
-Gravel/Dirt pads. I am not a fan of them. However, they are well maintained.

Great course to bring someone new to the sport to. Wonderful mix of wide of wide open fairways to seriously narrow thread the needle shots. Gives them a taste of nearly everything the sport has to offer. Course runs fast for experienced players so it is great to squeeze in a fast round on the way home from work.

A couple decently fun holes requiring a wide variety of shots - some power holes, some finesse holes. Many difficult holes to par, and some easy birdies.

Overall, just too many really annoying holes.
Starting off with #1, and the annoying little tree that is right in the line of fire off the tee.
The pond on #6 is a disk swallower, you either need a consistent 350 ft straight drive, or you should lay up. For players with short, but accurate drives (like my wife), it can be too big to get over even with a layup off the tee.
Holes 9-13 have so many trees and tight throwing lanes, it's easy to get frustrated and run up your score if you are not extremely accurate.
Once you get out of the woods after 13, you'll probably have a tough time enjoying the last 5 holes, which would otherwise be fun.

I played this course again, and it was a lot better than I remember, or else I've just gotten a lot better.

Great selection of holes. What used to be a rinky dink pitch and putt is so much better. You will need most of the shots in your bag.

Use your head. Don't just throw for it. Know where the pin is. This course will bite you for a mis-placed drive or approach.

Mulituse park. Walkers can be and issue on a couple of holes and kids playing in the grass can get in the way. A buddy to watch out for your drives on hole 5 is nice.

I understand wanting to make some tight holes in the woods, but 11 and 12 could be widened by a foot or so to be a bit more playable.

Now that it is 18 holes and ALOT more challenging this is back into my rotaion.

Fun course that winds around a pretty family area park. Great location and easy to get to.

Water on a few holes. Easy creek shot on 3 made for a fun birdie. Laid up on the pond on 6. (No arm/confidence to clear that bad boy.)

Needs the bridge on 3. Shortens the walk around quite a bit, and the poor pallet that is in the water now will not last to long.
The reeds in the pond on 6 are huge. I like the intimidation, however putting a disc in there is a scary thought.
Some of the teepads had 'rutts' in the last 12 inches of runout. Watch those ankles.
The basket on 8 is hidden. Look for it when you walk to the 7 basket, otherwise you will overthrow your teeshot thinking it is farther than it is.

Lost blue Z Avenger SS with white stamp on 7 in the bushes to the right. If you find I would love back.

Only getting from 12-13 was odd, however the course signs are great. There are a couple of pinhole shots, but they are really fun. Tunnel shots were great. Would be great to have a port-a-let. Good shade under the pavilion, however I think this is probably taken up any weekend by parties.

This course has a great new layout that will certainly make it a much more popular DG destination. I never played the old 9-hole layout so I can't compare but the new one is lots of fun. The course flows pretty well but there are a few spots with tricky navigation and/or longish walks. Long walk between 3 and 4, 9 and 10, 12 and 13. Finding the tee for 9 may be problematic as well as figuring out where to go after 11 and 12. Another thing I didn't like about the layout was the walk from basket 15 to tee 16 crosses back over 15's fairway. Back to back groups will have to wait awhile on that hole.

*Navigation is aided by the trash cans. If there is a tee tucked in the treeline, there is usually a trash can on the edge of the trees indicating where to go.

The tees and baskets are in great condition, for now. Most of the baskets are brand new DGA's but the tee pads are crushed rock and I am sure will get worn and rutted with time. Already some are starting to show the mesh underneath and as noted above. Better than dirt in the long run but still problematic.

I really liked the amount of variety in hole shapes. There are a couple hyzer shots (1, 13), a few big right turns (2, 8, 17), and the most of the remaining holes have many obstacles that force you to shape lines. You throw over a pond on 6 and creeks come into play on 3, 14? (is there water in all those bushes?), and possibly 17 and 18 (dried up in the summer?).

My big complaint here is that holes 11 and 12 are completely retarded. The "fairways" are not fair at all: 10' wide tunnel (15' max on 12) carved through thick trees with heavy rough. This would be okay if the shape were playable but they have awkward turns that mean your only option is to lay up a 100' shot in order to have a shot after that. LAME.

Maybe a little trimming will improve 11 and 12 and hopefully some of the amenities will be addressed with time (especially a bridge on hole 3!!). All in all, a great new addition (kind of) to the north Metro area. I made the drive from Denton and it was definitely worth the 30 min drive.

***Update***
There are many new navigational aids on the course. Signs point the way after holes 9 and 12, the main trouble spots. The fairways on 11 and 12 also seem to be a bit more realistic now. Hole 12 is much better, you just need to hit the landing zone and 11 isn't so bad anymore either, especially now that the tee box is finished. Course is in great condition!

Greaty course to play. Bring your technical/finesse game and your big arm. This course has it all. Not a beginner course to say the least. Love that the course is tucked back away in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Definately worth the stop if you're in the area and definately worth a drive if you're not to far.

Good mix of shots - short, long, open, tight. Seems to be good use of available land. The teeboxes are very large and easy to find, once you know where to look. This course, now with 18 holes, is much more challenging and interesting than the previous 9 hole course.

A few holes seem silly to me, but maybe that is because they are so difficult - Hole #11 comes to mind, mainly the orientation of the teepad, and Hole #14. With the old concrete pads still in place, it is a challenge to navigate the course.

I finally was able to finish a complete round out here - I hooked up with a couple other "old men", which helped me to not only slow my pace, but also to help keep me hydrated, which is a MUST this time of year.

This course will challenge you, frustrate you, and have you wanting to come back again. Yes, the course is still raw, and you want to stay on the fairway, but I would rather have the course open now than to wait until it has been manicured.

The title says it all. This layout blows the old one away with a few holes not making the cut, resulting in a lower rating. The elevation is used pretty well for what little there is. Many of the greens make for interesting upshots as well as putts. The course doesnt really favor one type of player because there is just about every shot you can throw. It is fairly lefty friendly although where its not, it really isnt! The teepads are crushed granite which is a little different but most are in good shape. Most all of the baskets are brand new and are in good shape. There is far more challenge here then the old layout which will bring alot more players Im sure. Bring your A game and alot of patience for awhile because it still is fun despite quite a bit of negatives.

Some of the underbrush is BRUTAL! The little sticky tights get old even if you under the basket, both should be taken care of with more play. Holes 12, and 13 need TONS of work and are pretty dumb as they stand now ruining alot of the potential here. Not alot of shade here making for a very hot round. The pond on 6 will eat alot of discs for those who cant clear it, so lay up because its nasty. Many of the teepads are already getting big ruts in them and the grid is starting to show making for some akward footing. More trash cans would be great.

This is a fun course and it was really ruined to me by holes 12 and 13. When every person playing the course has the same drive <100 feet just to have a chance at your next shot just isnt golf to me and it seems they just tried to do a little too much instead of just letting the land help you out. They have moved the tee for 11 making it more of a hole then before. They are really that bad. I have a feeling that with play many things will be taken care of and the rating will go up but as of now its stuck at a 3.
