Pros:
9 hole course set up in a small park on the edge of Plover.
DGA baskets, all in good repair. Blue powder coated, not that it matters here. Each basket had a number flag on top, which really helps out with navigation, because half the holes are just baskets in a field.
The first three holes are ok, I guess. They're in some light woods to the right of the parking lot. A couple basket placements at the edge of the woods are ok, as well.
The natural tee pads were fine. Not rutted out, and plenty of space. I doubt this course gets much play, so it should never really become an issue.
Cons:
It's short. Like really short, save for hole 5, which is in the 300' range...not that you'd know, because the posts that serve as signs don't tell you squat other than the hole number.
Navigation isn't easy here. Once you pass hole 3, it's not too tough to end up standing in the field trying to figure out where the next tee/basket are.
Other Thoughts:
This place isn't all bad, if you're a beginner or a grandmother. There's not a lot of intrigue for a better player. In order to keep from passing out, I had to force myself to figure out fun things to do, like using the goalposts from the adjacent football/soccer field as a mando for hole 8. If you were here, and drunk with your buddies, I'm sure you could have all kinds of fun.
Not a course to really go play, unless you're just looking to kill time and happen to be across the street, or you're a bagger.
