Pros:
Holmes Community College offers a quick and casual stop to throw some discs that is great for breaking up a drive on I-55. The course is easy to find and not too far off the highway. There's some nice terrain here for playing safari including some hills, a small lake, and scattered patches of trees. Baskets are positioned in an area where there seems to be little possibility of conflict with non-disc golfers. It's a fair opportunity to stretch your legs and throw a bit.
Cons:
The course is largely overgrown and completely inaccessible in spots; I could only find five baskets despite my best efforts, one of which was being swallowed by weeds, and not even a hint of tee boxes. The five baskets I could find play around some odd obstacles such as dilapidated lights and walking paths; there was a decrepit and abandoned feel to some areas. Tall grass threatens to swallow your disc at several points. Overall the course seems largely abandoned.
Other Thoughts:
I was told by someone mowing the baseball fields that the course may possibly be better tended in the future if it received attention. So if you're a student or a local, please ask for the course to receive a bit of TLC!
Worth a stop to stretch your legs and bag a course, but be prepared to play safari and don't expect anything beyond that.
