Course has been updated, New Life drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 20, 2023 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Variety: Open and technical shots
Water hazards: Has a few water scares but not overwhelming
Well maintained: Grounds personnel mow and trim frequently
Scenic

Cons:

Under constant improvement: Lack of navigational aides, lack of tee pads (in the works)
Congestion: Some holes can have issues with congestion if the course is busy. Most of the time this is not an issue but will be a huge issue during tournaments or a really day at the course. Typically you will have the course to yourself.
Welcome Signage has the wrong distances, the holes are longer than what is displayed.

Other Thoughts:

This course was recently updated and upgraded within the last few years. It went from 9 holes to 18 holes. The original 9 were kept in respect to the original designer/group of students that established the course while the additional 9 were added in the hopes that this course could eventually be improved to be of "tournament quality" and be able to host collegiate disc golf events. A handful of locals who have a passion for the sport volunteer when able to help improve the course from time to time. Working with the college's recreational department tends to take time and usually revolves around groups such as PTK and their yearly contribution projects. Any help would be appreciated and would be a crucial course for an area so sparsely populated with disc golf courses.

Day off 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 4, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good signs. New baskets. Low traffic. Elevation changes are a good challenge.

Cons:

The natural tees are okay, but a permanent tees would be better. There were no trash cans or benches.

Other Thoughts:

There's a mix of short and long holes, and a mix of open and wooded holes. The mix is not too great though, there is really not too much variety. Most holes are open and medium length. The course is fun and has a lot of potential though. I'm not sure of any restroom facilities, but I'm sure you could duck into the gym or cafeteria. Also, a note about Goodman, there are no fast food restaurant with about 20 miles. You'll need to pack a lunch, or you might be able to eat on campus.
