Pros:
-Well maintained park with plenty of other things to do (bike trails, soccer fields, driving range, there's even a designated area for flying RC airplanes!)
-Excellent variety: elevation changes, a little water, plenty of O.B., tight technical holes and wide open long bombers, hole lengths ranging from 150 ft. - 1,000+ ft. with 3 holes over 600 ft.!
-Fairly well marked - it might take a minute to find the tee but not much longer
Cons:
-Too long
-Too few trash cans
-Too few benches for such a long course
-Tee signs aren't very accurate depictions of the actual holes
Other Thoughts:
This is the longest, most exhausting course I've played. Even some of the longer holes can be very technical. This course will wear you out physically and mentally. It may very well crush your spirit, too.
It's best to wait several days after a good rain or wear your rubber boots. Water tends to make the central part (Holes #5, #6, #9, #12 & #13) VERY swampy and you WILL get wet and/or muddy.
Please, please, please don't think I'm saying that Buddy Butts DGC is a bad course, it's not. What it is, in my opinion, is hardcore...
By yourself, with no traffic on the course and playing at a leisurely pace, you can expect 18 holes to take about 2-3 hrs.
Remember:
-Bring PLENTY of fluids, as much as you can carry (it gets HOT and it's very humid all the time)
-Don't start a round too late, you'll never finish before dark
-Larger groups should let smaller ones play through as soon as possible
-Put your eyes on the basket BEFORE you throw, tee signs are misleading
PARKING
-enter the park, take a right when road ends (there is a sign that reads "DISC GOLF" with an arrow)
-take the 1st right after the soccer fields
-go all the way to where the road turns back almost 180° and park by the tee for hole #1
