Fun to play 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 26, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Like everyone has said, its vanilla. But sometimes vanilla is fun.

Holes are short in distance. Easily marked baskets.
The squirrels will come eat out of your hand!

Cons:

People tend to picnic next to the baskets. Not good.

The course maps on DiscGolfReview.com are not the current layout at the park. This needs to be changed. I will see if I can update it myself but BEWARE, the maps for the course on this website are NOT the current course layout.

****I uploaded a course map approximation as of today May 26 2012. Its pretty close and usable but someone needs to go out and measure it and update.********

Other Thoughts:

Had fun playing there as it was fast paced and not very strenuous - thats ok sometimes and today was one of those days.

Looking Better These Days 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 28, 2008 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

UPDATED review after 2010 redesign to 10 holes.

Decent tee markers are easily visible. Baskets are mostly single chain DISCatchers with a few newer double chain ones. The ten holes are all primarily flat with a couple baskets placed on very small hills that add some putting challenge to a few holes. Course does not favor RHBH players like many others do. Decent mix of anny and straight shots. Most basket have a spoke painted pointing you to the next tee box. Ample parking and restroom facilities on site.

Cons:

A few holes play close to the walking/jogging trail around the lake, be careful when you throw as this trail is heavily used. Two of the holes throw along the edge of the park bordered by a street, again don't throw into oncoming traffic. Lots of ducks and geese to avoid, including their droppings. The current 10-hole configuration ends on the opposite side of the lake for a long walk back to your car; hopefully this will be remedied in a couple months.

Other Thoughts:

The original course was pulled when a softball complex was installed in 2009. The entire course was redesigned utilizing the area around the lake.

The course is planned to expand to a full 18 holes making a complete loop around the lake. A mini tournament was held with temp baskets on the proposed holes #11-18 and some of them will be challenging for tight lines or long distances.

Hole #10 is a fun little gutsy hole at ~175' with water on the left and behind the basket making Ace runs at it virtually guaranteed to get wet.

I've heard this course is typically windy, but the couple times I've played (May & Feb) it wasn't bad.
