Flatpad teepads

Ace Fun teepad installed on the fairway.

These look good.

"Lightweight and Portable" - how much does one of these weight, and how is it moved? One or more people lifting and carrying it, or are there retracted wheels under it?

The leveling - is it just 4 screw out legs under each corner? I'm guessing they are manually done, with someone holding a level on the pad to verify? Do the base of the legs adjust to slopes (angled), or do the need a flat surface?

Thank you,

Our teepads are designed to be lightweight and portable, making them easy to transport and set up at different locations. The weight of our teepads depends on the specific model and size, with an average weight of around 20 kilograms (44 pounds) for a single module.

When it comes to moving the teepads, they can be carried by one or more people. Our teepads do not have integrated wheels. However, using a hand truck or similar equipment is a practical solution for moving them by hand. This allows for easier transportation and maneuverability, especially when setting up the teepads at different locations.

In terms of leveling, our teepads feature adjustable legs located under each corner. The number of legs varies depending on the model, with the smallest "Ace Fun" teepad having four legs and larger models featuring six to ten legs. Each leg has a 10cm (4 inch) adjustment capability, allowing for precise leveling on different terrains. During installation, a level can be used to ensure proper positioning and stability.

that last video highlights the possible danger of having such a raised tee surface

Just self tap those together with some flat bar... no. Might want to reshoot that video and redesign, those holes will strip.

Free design input: m6 or 1/4-20 rivet nuts on the sides, still use flat bar. You gain much higher cycle life, self tappers are designed for one cycle.

"Take your game to new heights..." doesn't make a lot of sense. These are targeted more to course designers and owners; they won't substantially change players' games, in comparison to other quality (but non-portable) tees.

For clarity, I suggest models include size, weight, & cost. "Perfect for most common fairways" is hardly definitive. "44 lbs per module" is meaningless, if we don't know how many modules a given tee constitutes. And without specific costs, it's hard to weigh benefits: features that are a bargain for $100 aren't even worth a consideration for $2,000.

Depending on the price and portability, I can imagine a small market for such things: where quick installation or portability matter, and theft risk does not. But it's hard to tell without the specifics of size, weight, & cost.

I went to the website. The 3.2 is 3m x 2m (about 6.5' x 10') and costs 1,435€ ($1,609.04 today). The 2.1 is 2m x 1m. Even on short fairways I do a short walk up for the throw which makes 2.1 little more than a trip hazard if its not mounted flush. the 3.2 is really too short at just under 10 feet. For those dimensions, the price is insane when compared to better options. 5' x 12' concrete tee pads are significantly less than 1/3 of the cost.

If it's worth the cost for someone to have portable, temporary, and/or quickly-installed tees, that person is the (small) market for this product. There can't be many people like that, but there may be a few.

One of the great advantages of portable teepads is their versatility. While they are designed for temporary or mobile installations, they can also be used for permanent setups if the need arises.

Here's why portable teepads offer the best of both worlds:

1️⃣ Temporary Installations: Portable teepads are specifically designed for situations where a temporary or flexible disc golf course is desired. They can be quickly and easily set up and removed, allowing for temporary play in various locations.

2️⃣ Permanent Installations: If there is a need for a more permanent teepad solution, portable teepads can be installed in a more permanent manner. This provides the option to create a fixed course layout while still benefiting from the portability and convenience of the teepads.

3️⃣ Adaptability: Portable teepads can be adjusted to suit different terrains and environments, making them suitable for both temporary and permanent installations. Whether you need a temporary setup for an event or a permanent course layout, these teepads offer the flexibility to meet your specific requirements.

Ultimately, the decision to use portable teepads for temporary or permanent installations depends on individual needs, preferences, and the intended use of the teepads. The beauty of these teepads is that they provide the freedom to choose the installation option that best suits the situation at hand.

For temporary: Other than looking nicer and being easier to level, I don't see how this would work much better than a few scavenged pallets, a bit of wood (to reinforce as needed), fasteners, and some carpet remnants. Most skids are 40x48", so three strung together get you a 4x10' teepad for little to no cost that is just as portable as a flatpad.

For permanent: many better and more economical options all ready out there.

There's nothing but pros to these things. Absolutely no downside of any kind. Just ask the sales guy here, he'll tell you. He's proven time and time again he has no concept of the downside of his project. I'm surprised the whole world hasn't switched over yet with how spectacular they are. Best thing to happen to disc golf since the beveled edge disc!

The platform in the picture has been installed on @malluunendg's course. A borrowed comment says a lot: 'I have to admit that the platforms are quite handy to assemble even by one person! And they feel pleasantly sturdy to throw from.
