Beautiful short course that plays in 30min drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 30, 2022 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Nice mixture of very easy holes for beginners and some slightly challenging holes in the woods.
- Babbling creek in the middle of the back 5 holes, typically pretty easy to spot some cool water fowl there.
- Very quick course to play by yourself, I've frequently managed to play in less than 30 minutes.
- Hole 8 is fun, with a tree trunk playing defense on a relatively ace-able hole (picture here on DGCR has it labeled as Hole 5 for some reason).
- Very green course, beautiful scenery on the walk from the parking area.
- Tends to get less crowded than Edora Park and Aggie Greens, especially in the mornings.

Cons:

- On a middle school's property, so you can't play during school hours.
- Bike path goes right through the middle of the course, so be aware as you play through some of the holes.
- Front half of the course packs 3 holes into a fairly confined space, it's pretty easy to toss your disc to the wrong basket.
- Lots of brush in the back half of the course, keep an eye on your disc.
- Tee pads are a little small

Other Thoughts:

- If you're a go-getter and willing to bike with your discs; it's pretty easy to get 18 holes in by playing here and then riding to the Lancer Links 9-hole course.
- Got an ace on this course on 5/29/22 on Hole #6
- Overall, a splendidly fun little 9 hole course. I've lived in Fort Collins for 2+ years now and this is the course I've played the most.

Small but mighty 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 8, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great practice for new players. A lot of putter action! And the course offers tons of tree hazards and even some water. A good challenge for beginners

Cons:

Small course. Finish quickly. And with the exception of the 9th and final hole, no long distances.

Other Thoughts:

A great course to play with friends. A good challenge. And hole 6 is an infamous "resting" point =)

The most fun I have had playing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a course I could play 6 times through in the same day. Even though the holes are short the trees make for some very interesting shots. Coming from Denver up to Laporte this course was a 180 degree turn from the mostly flat and open courses I have played down in Denver. IF you hit Edora in the morning make sure you play this course. This course gives you practice on shot selection by far more than 90% of the courses I have played.

Cons:

While not giving this course a 5 you would think there were cons. The course is short yes and the tee pads are natural yes. Both of these things add to its charm. The barbed wire fence that runs near holes 7 & 8 seems excessive. The water running near theses holes look nasty and I am glad a few trees saved me.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a must play for anyone who is looking to improve their shot selection techniques. Even though it is short and small you will have fun playing here no matter what. We played in the early Spring time so the trees and vines are not in full bloom. When all the vegetation is high it will add another degree of difficulty.

Make wise decisions about the way you throw here. One bad toss can cause you to end up behind a tree.
