Pros:
18 baskets in good repair.
The concrete tees mostly feel like a large concrete brick that is a touch small for a tee pad, but it works.
Great variety of holes. Open, tight, long, short, huge downhill shots and a few uphill, lefts, rights... yadda yadda yadda...
Easy enough to navigate.
Water holes are fun and are not too hard, but will definitely eat plastic if you screw up.
Really fun course design that kind of eases you into things and gets you warmed up for a much more challenging back nine, but without being boring or repetitive.
Cons:
The back nine still has some holes that are in rough (new) shape, but that will come I am sure.
The signage could be better, but with a map it really isn't hard to figure out. It basically makes a large oval loop following an established walking path, without interfering with the walking path too much.
Would be awesome if there were multiple tees/pins on each hole, but I'm sure that isn't the number one priority here.
Hole 9 over the water feels a bit gimmicky. I feel like it is too short and too hyzery through a fog of trees on the other side. The water really shouldn't come into play here ever. Would be super neat if a long tee pad were placed closer to the walkway on this hole.
Hole 18 feels kind of like a disappointment. After such a great series of holes, to end on that note just doesn't do enough for me.
Other Thoughts:
I have full confidence that this course will mature as the community around it keeps building it up into a 4.0 course. Lots of potential and lots of great stuff already going for it. Great job, eh
