SHORT COURSE! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 3, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Ace run on every hole!
Good First time Kids course
Good for children under 8 years of age

Cons:

WAY too short of holes
- given each tee position is essentially a jump putt (no joke) it is too short... i think one hole was just over 70 ft... and the average hole is just over 100 feet.

no challenge in the holes at all
- some may compare this to "putt putt" or mini golf reletive to regular ball golf.... however it is just not comparable because the holes have no challenge (if there were windmills and bridges and clown mouths that you had to use to get to the hole then i would understand the comparison much more haha... just kidding)

Other Thoughts:

This course location has sooooo much potential and it is actually a fun place to go to make up your own holes. If the course design used the pond/lake that is next to the course, or played into the nearby trees a little bit more it has the opportunity to be a great course.

In my opinion, dont waste your time here, given you can practice putting at another nearby course (or in your backyard trowing at a tree :p...) and have a much more enjoyable time

Intro to Disc Golf 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 11, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Clean, well maintained park - very pleasant, relaxed setting.
- Perfect course for someone who wants to write the next chapter in the "most holes played in 24 hours" record book: silly short holes, compact layout, aces up the wazoo.
-Good for introducing little kids to disc golf.
- Good for practicing putts and approaches (even on a lunch break).
- No reason to wait at all: very light traffic and, everything's close together, so you can easily skip a hole or two and come back to them.
- Decent tee signs with distance clearly indicated.

Cons:

- Not a serious disc golf course: If you call yourself a disc golfer, the ONLY purpose this course serves is as a practice putting green.
- Tee boxes made from railroad ties filled with wood chips. Plain grass would be an improvement.

Other Thoughts:

I mean this quite literally: This is to Disc Golf what Putt-Putt is to real golf. The only disc you'll need here is a putter (although you might use a midrange for hole # 7). Drivers should be prohibited on this course.
I can't even say it's a beginner course for adults - nearby Bay Court or Fire Fighters are much more suitable for adults (even for a first time out).

HOWEVER, if you want to work on your short game, this is a great place to do so. You can break out your putter and get tons of practice on putt and approach in 30 mins.

This is also an EXCELLENT place to introduce young kids to disc golf: nothing intimidating, all the baskets are right in front of you.

Pitch 'n' Putt 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 2, 2000 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good place to practice short game. 9 baskets in small park with some trees to provide hazards. No chance of losing discs. No nasty schule.

Provides a fun introduction to the sport for beginners.

Cons:

The property is very small and the course shares the land with other park users. There's potential for players and other park users to get hit by discs. This is a particular concern as the park attracts families with small children.

Other Thoughts:

Remember: Don't be a dirty disc golfer. If you pack it in, pack it out!
