The "front" nine baskets are spread throughout a fairly dense pine tree plot in the State Park while the "back" nine were spread throughout an open prairie grass hill top. This created two really distinct courses essentially and both play dramatically different!
- front 9 baskets are technical
- back 9 baskets are open but technical as well. An errant throw into the prairie grass is worse than in the woods.
- Great hole variety with 9 Straight/4 Right/5 Left
- Fairly Easy to navigate as long as you pay attention to the random signs nailed to trees on the front 9
- Trashcans were placed throughout on front 9 only
- Great views of Clinton Lake on the last couple of holes
- Tee pads ranged from dirt to grass throughout course
- Fairways were well mowed.
- The elevation changes on the front 9 coupled with an absolutley insane amount of pines to throw through or over made for a round I had never experienced before - Then when I went to the back 9 and saw nothing but 3-4' prairie grass with few trees along with elevation changes again, I thought I had left and found a completely different course. I must admit it was a little odd, but overall a really refreshing way to play 18 baskets.

- Would benefit greatly from some groomed tee pads - does not need to be concrete, it is a State Park
- Tee signs need serious work
- Only 1 basket location - this site could easily manage two locations and be a 1/2 point better.
- needs trash cans on back 9

- Restrooms at campsites across street.
- Plenty of very clean camping areas
- Fee to play is the State Park entrance fee for vehicles
