One (Partially Obstructed) Basket Does Not Merit a Listing

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 14, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is the worst excuse for posting any course type that I've ever come across. There is absolutely nothing positive about this place. Even where the basket was installed could not have been done any worse.
- Finishing in less than 30 seconds is a GOOD thing.
- There is a single basket.
- The basket is yellow.
- The basket is round.
- The basket has chains.
- The basket is made of metal.
- The basket is almost completely upright and in seemingly fine condition.
- From some angles, you can putt up to 25 feet away without interference.

Cons:

Someone must have requested/demanded a basket be installed in front of this building. Whoever installed it has no concept of disc golf because it was put in a horrible location.
- You cannot safely throw at this basket from any direction. On one side is a row of Crepe Myrtles. On another side is the building. The third side is the parking lot. The only open direction towards the basket has the sidewalk behind the basket.
- In all likelihood, the basket cannot be used the majority of the time. During weekdays, there will be too much foot traffic around the basket for anyone to use it.
- The Crepe Myrtles hang too low over top of the basket, impeding any longer shots.
- Why have the basket directly in front of the building, next to the front entrance? Simply putting it on the side of the building would have created much more space.

Other Thoughts:

Any disc golfer who has a basket in his or her backyard has a better pin placement than this. You also have more justification for listing your backyard basket than this one.
- How does one merit this basket as played? Does a putt from 15 feet away count as a round?
- Ths single basket is listed as 'very cart friendly.' If you bring your entire bag or cart out of your vehicle to throw here, you deserve the 'who's that weirdo' looks and comments.
- I'm glad to see college funds were wasted on this basket. Whoever gave the go-ahead to have the basket installed better have good justification for his/her decision.
- I recorded myself playing this course. I left my truck running while I did so. From the time I stepped out of my truck, threw two putts, got them in the basket, and walked back to my truck, the total time was less than 30 seconds.
- A 30 second round. Enough said.
- Instead of playing, watch a round here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSOGh3FFlFM)
- Hopefully this basket will be removed sooner than later. No good can come from anyone using it.
