Pros:
9 holes with baskets in older but fair condition. Course plays behind a large church with challenging fairways. Fairway grass was cut. Lots of distance and accuracy needed to score well here. Tees are natural, but not heavily used, and ample run up is given.
Cons:
This is a big arm course. Now, other than that, off the fairway was incredibly thick and overgrown, and the edge of the lake is NOTHING like the pictures here on the site. Could have been a time of year thing, but anything on the back side of 4/5 if it was left was either wet or had grass/weeds stomach height. In the back by 6/7 was also overgrown. 9 was partially unplayable due to a pumpkin patch sale held by the church (I just played as close to 1's tee as I could and got out of there.
Other Thoughts:
You'll need your backup discs and a lot of faith if you're going to play this course and not have at least 350' plus distance and good control. I'm hoping that this was just more of a "this time of year" course status (that exists in S FL) rather than an all year thing. I wouldn't mind seeing shorter pads (even like concrete buttons or something) so those not as good could enjoy. I really wanted to give this course at least a two. Sadly, my faith in this course has waxed cold.
