An Ideal Piece Of Land 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 30, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

If you had a piece of land that you wanted to put a course on, this would be it. This course has fantastic elevation changes that range from slight to extreme. There are more than enough trees, and large boulders to create an obstacle challenge to keep you coming back for more.

The baskets here are DGA and they are awesome. A lot of money was spent on procuring top notch baskets and it greatly adds to the overall experience.

There is a very well thought out layout here that has a wide gamut of looks at all the pins. There are straight shots with tight fairways. Uphill shots that could make you cry if you do not hit the lane, sweeping hook shots that carry your disc in sideways rainbow arcs, downhills that have elevated ridges in the way, and challenge on every hole.

Diversity is alive and well here. Every hole has a totally different and unique challenge for you to master.

Cons:

The tee boxes are 8x6 pallets with an extremely grippy conveyor belt covering them. They are sufficient, but some of them are breaking down and need to be replaced.

A work day with a half dozen people is desperately needed to pick up the fallen sticks and twigs from the past few winters. They are not overwhelming, but there are a lot of them.

Navigation aides would be a great improvement. It was fairly easy to navigate, but markers would take the guesswork out.

Other Thoughts:

The owner of the course has only nine holes installed in a cohesive manor. There are several more holes installed on the property, but they are off the loop of the nine, and you have to do a little searching to find them, and once you do they do not hook back in at the end of the hole. If they were to be worked in in an efficient manor in the future this course could rival any course in New Hampshire.

Overall this was a VERY FUN course to play, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
