Fun, but rough. 2+ years

Pros:

18 hole course located in the sleepy town of Logan Lake.

Nice Discatcher baskets, which help immensely for first timers (yellow bands=easy to see). All were mounted well and caught well. One pin position per hole.

Decent enough signage, with distances, and relative lines. Navigation wasn't too tough, even with all the up and down.

Elevation is the best part of this course. There's not a single hole here that's flat, which is awesome. It's not straight up and down hills, either...the design is solid in that regard. There are some pretty extreme rises and falls, and others that integrate the elevation more subtly. IF you're not used to throwing up and down hills, this is quite the challenge.

Plenty of mature trees help provide forced lines. Some hole are more open, but you'll still need to plan our your shots to score well. Most of the wooded type holes are one line types, but with plenty of fairway to work with.

Nice mix of distances, with several shorter holes, and a few longer ones, especially from the long tees. The long layout is where this course shines, with a couple par 4 type holes toward the end.

Cons:

The rubber tees here are kind of a mess. Lumpy, bumpy and just not great. Obviously getting concrete in here would be a massive undertaking, but some leveling would also go a long way with what is currently in place.

Logan Lake is rough...no other way to put it. Because of the topography, it doesn't really get mowed, and the brushy grass loves to hide discs. I realize there's not much you can do about this, but it is a concern.

Other Thoughts:

I flew into Kelowna and immediately got into my car and drove here (about two hours), and if I could, I'd give the scenic drive through the mountains a 4.5 alone. One of the most beautiful drives I've ever taken. This entire area is pretty amazing in that regard, and the course (with it's several views over the lake) certainly doesn't skimp in that regard either. A touch of refining would bring the rating on this course way up.

While it's relatively rough, this is still a great course, and a super fun time. I imagine it doesn't get a ton of play because of location, but if you get to the Kamloops/Kelowna area, and you love disc golf, it's kind of a must play.
