Solid Beginner Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 27, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Scenery
-Lots of lines for each hole. If you are looking to practice different shots then you can do so at this course fairly well.
-Pretty hard to lose a disc if you aren't throwing tragically
-Decent signage and was able to navigate course without much confusion on first play through
-Not super busy and/or feel fairly isolated even with several groups playing due to how course is setup

Cons:

-Super dusty
-I could see this getting nasty with rain
-During summer you will need to bring lots of water there is no easy route to a fountain while playing
-Some holes are kind of short/too easy

Other Thoughts:

Great spot to duck off to while traveling and there's a cute town surrounding it for a easy lunch/dinner before and after play

First-timer's outing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 18, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Challenging terrain; most areas "friendly" to errant throws (i.e., small chance of losing your disc). Good signage to next hole. Very challenging course for a first-timer, but probably for those who know where the baskets are too.

Cons:

Poor basket signage (maps unclear about pin location, position, and direction). Going by the map, my very first shot was off to the right when I should have been shooting straight ahead (it had a "mandatory" sign).

EXTREMELY poor visibility of baskets from tees (only 2 or 3 have orange flags that help you see them). This is made worse by the absence of any color on them causing them to not only blend in with the surrounding terrain. Also, makes it a "nightmare" gauging distance, either from the tee or in-between.

Other Thoughts:

When the baskets are moved, a board would help (or even this website) in identifying which locations the baskets are in. Overall, an enjoyable round. Signage, good or bad, is a key factor for me in rating a course. Like a traditional golf course, the maps should be accurate and understandable. This course is mostly "shrouded."

Good desert disc! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 9, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good variation in hole lengths and decent hole signage. Nice baskets.
Pretty well laid out course, though there is some criss-crossing that happens which can get a little confusing.

Cons:

Missing some tee pad signs and pointers to the next tee, as they are not always obvious. Also, difficult to find hole #1 if you haven't been there before (I updated the directions on the overview page).

Other Thoughts:

Being from Oregon I play mostly lush, grassy courses, but this desert course was extremely fun and enjoyable to play! Bring lots of water!
