Good variety of shots. Good tee pads. Good baskets. Good signage- relatively easy to navigate on first round (though I thought basket 8 was for hole 6 and the sign placement & direction on 7 made me think the drive was about 60 degrees to the right of where it actually is.) Loved the bridges, creek and greenery of 1-4. Lawn was mowed and plenty of trash cans and there was no trash at all on the course. Mostly treed which means wonderful shade and wind protection.

Holes 1-4 take "heavily wooded" to a new level. Each requires accurate shots plus a good bit of luck. (To a lesser extent, the same can be said for many of the other holes.) When you do find yourself in the rough, you have to contend with plenty of poison ivy. That said, with some trimming and removal of a handful of trees, the first 4 could be terrific. The course makes excellent use of the space they have, but much of hole 5 and almost all of hole 18 are over/on parking lots.

There are several signs around the course "This course is on private property. You are welcome to play here, but DO NOT ALTER under any circumstance. NO PAINTING, NO TRIMMING, NO CUTTING. Continued abuse of the course will result in its removal." So enjoy it. It is a pretty good course, but the changes that would improve it to excellent probably aren't going to happen.

- Not fond of some of the holes on the back 9 (the combined distance and accuracy needed on some of the holes seem unrealistic)

Thanks to the church for providing this for public use. It's a very fun course and worth visiting when in town. Play it every time I'm in Dallas.

Nice big tee boxes. Most of the holes had signs showing the hole lay out. The course has a good mix of long and short holes as well as up and down baskets.

Course doesn't flow very good from hole to hole. Most of the holes I found myself looking around trying to find the next tee box. Hole #9 is missing the sign with the layout of the hole.

Overall I really liked this course and would recommend it. Would play again.

Any disc golf course is a good thing. Gives the youth ay the church an activity on church property.

Strange out of bounds lines, blind shots. A lot of the shots are set up for a RHBH player.

The course seems to favor a RHBH player. A few holes are pretty tricky for a right hand side arm thrower and the left handed player to birdie. I personally prefer a nice mix to level the playing field for everyone. There are some really fun holes! If you are a RHBH player and can throw 400'+ you will probably love the church course. I recommend everyone to try it and come up with their own opinion. New pin positions shorten some holes and made a nice change to the existing course.

course is much improved since I first played it. Very challenging but a good mix of drive looks.

Concrete tee pads, with signs (now temporary) that shows where to go from the basket to the next tee box. Really nice use of land, with great variety of shots neeed. Nice big blue drums used as trash cans on every hole.

Baskets do not have number plates. Tee pads seemed a touch short, but that is pretty subjective. There are no much-needed bridges (the first three holes in particular). There are no benches.

Consider that this course is *brand new*, and much clearing out still needs to be done. Rough can be *really* rough - I was scratched up after the first two holes. The fairways in the woods are easily, taken as a whole, the narrowest in the DFW metroplex. Think holes 10-13 at the Bill Allen course in the colony, and multiply and lengthen them. Having a couple of holes that make two or three turns is an interesting feature of this course.

My rating is based on the course as it currently is, not as it will be. I am confident that my rating will go up as the course gets cleared out more and improved, through play and through the efforts of those active in the maintenance and improvement of this fine addition to the DFW disc golf scene.

Below is my "blow by blow" description of the course,

1 - Throws over creek, basket hidden. End of teepad near the creek's edge, so watch followthrough. The creeks bends and parallels the fairway on the right. The hole finished uphill and to the left. Cross the creek to get to

#2 - Throws over a bend in the creek. Not currently easy to walk to the basket; I had to walk in what I found out was #4 fairway to get there. Cross the creek (again) to get to

#3 - Similar to #1 - finished uphill and left after crossing creek. Don't feel bad about laying up to stay out of trouble. Walk past the basket to the right to get to

#4 - Narrow ,flat fairway, blind shot, finishes to the right. Walk past the basket and across the edge of the parking lot to get to

#5 - Tee currently marked by spray paint on parking lot. RH hyzer back across corner of parking lot, basket tucked next to woods you just left. Walk past the basket straight to get to

#6 - Long hole, OB on left (houses), currently shown on the tee sign as a line 100 ft to the right of the back yard fences, but it is not yet marked on the course. There is a mandatory left of an outbuilding about 400 ft from the tee. You will walk past another basket on your left just before you get to the outbuilding. Basket is about 200 ft past the outbuilding, well guarded by trees. Walk to the right of the basket to get to

#7 - Tee is the sidewalk next to the tee sign, but it is not marked. Straight downhill shot with a canopy guarding the basket. Walk past the basket to the left to get to

#8 - Narrow fairway, appears to have been carved out of woods. Flat for the first 300 ft or so, then finishes up and to the right on a plateau. This is the basket you passed on hole 6. Walk to the right of the basket to get to

#9 - Back to the woods! Short shot over the side of a hill to the basket, which has a drop off behind it. Follow the drop off to get to

#10 - First 250 ft or so straight and open, then snakes left and then right to the basket. Placement is key here. Unless your second shot is a risky massive RHBH hyzer over the trees, or you can a 100 ft plus third shot, you will get a 4 or higher here. I got a four and felt very satisfied. Turn back to the right to get to

#11 - Straight and narrow, finishing to the left. Go past the basket to the left to get to

#12 - Walk past tee #7, tee is next to the (gym) building. Downhill, throwing over the volleyball court which is OB. Walk to the right to get to

#13 - There is street going across the fairway, about 275 ft away. Tee sign shows a course rule that for Advanced and up players, anything short of clearing the street is OB. Walk up the stairs on the left side of the building, and when they end, cross over the railing and walk toward the fenced-in playground to get to

#14 - Massive throw off the hill you just came up. Pavement is OB, but will not come into play if you clear the initial canopy. There is a fence between the tee and the basket which could come into play if you land too close to it on the drive. Walk to the right to get to

#15 - 710 foot tunnel shot; that about sums it up. Flat for the first 500 ft or so, then hole finished uphill to the right, well guarded by trees. Walk down hill and to the left to get to

#16 - Tunnel through trees. Fairway goes straight, then angles about 45 degrees to the left, then finished back to the right. Walk over to the convenience store for some well-needed refreshment. On the way, you will pass by the tee for

#17 - Open most of the way, but a canopy guards the last 60 ft or so, with the hole finished uphill. Walk up the hill to the left to get to

#18 - Left to right shot out of a canopy to a basket next to the woods.
There is a walk of about 800-900 feet to get back to hole #1, but that really couldn't be avoided, since the walk is 80% parking lot.
