a confusing afternoon 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 10, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

The park is maintained fairly well and the tee pads were great. Hole variety for being in such a tight area was nice, even if only moderate in length, and forced me to try all sorts of different shots.

Cons:

A number of the holes didn't have signs and so I found myself wandering around looking for a basket and backtracking to a tee a lot. Since things are so tight within the park, it was very confusing to get around. When I finally found hole 12 I was a bit frustrated and skipped over 13-15 due to the crowd of kids running around nearby. The proximity of the baskets to play areas and all of the fairway crossovers are the biggest negatives in my book.

Other Thoughts:

Being that there were no other courses anywhere close, it was nice to have an opportunity to play while out of town. There is a lot of potential here if the signage was kept in place and some tree pruning was completed to provide some clean throwing lanes. I also can't imagine many times when you wouldn't have to worry about hitting someone outside of winter. If I had the course map, I probably would have had a better experience.
