Pros:
*course was fully finished in 2014. Earlier reviews that mention navigation problems should be read with a grain a salt. There are now tee signs at every hole and a large map on the kiosk (take a picture) to guide you. The club also stocks score cards (with maps) at the kiosk and the map on UDisc is accurate.
This is a well maintained city park. Grass is mowed frequently and permanent restrooms are open most of the year.
Challenging course with a lot of low ceiling shots, line drives and a roller game really help you to score low. Some form of OB exists on almost every hole, such as park roads and the pond, greatly increasing the difficulty. It may look like a normal city park, but read the OB rules on the kiosk or the provided scorecards and you will see why this course can have teeth. Keep the disc in the appropriate fairway and you can shot a good score.
Cons:
It is a city park, so it can be busy at times. These do not usually impact the play, but do require some public interaction. Most park users, when asked nicely, will gladly move so you can throw. Rarely a large party such as graduation or family reunion will force players to alter or omit one hole.
There are a few crossing fairways that can create backups on really busy days. This seldom happens, but it is good to be prepared for a little backup on two or three holes.
Other Thoughts:
This is the course closest to my house and I play it often. It has gradually gotten better, growing from 9 holes in 1994 with homemade signs and natural tees to its current finished state. The local club has been responsible for all those upgrades, through player donations or money and labor. They have done as good as can be done on the property that was available.
