Pros:

Long course with a logical layout
Large pads
Tee signs with correct distances
Located close to McClure Park
Great for practicing distance drives
Not busy

Cons:

No elevation
No death putt situations unless you just completely air it over
It appears that the grass is only mowed once a month, which results in a few obvious negatives
The course becomes redundant rather quickly

Other Thoughts:

I was excited to play a course I have never played before during my latest visit to Tulsa and this course somewhat met my expectations. With so many great courses in the area this course seems a bit boring by comparison, however, I can see this being a good practice course if you catch it after it has been recently mowed. If you catch it on an off day, like I did, you'd be better off driving down the road and playing McClure. You'd be better off playing McClure regardless, but a change never hurt anybody!

Fairly Open and Long 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Open, well groomed park with a few long shots through fairly mature trees and a few open medium distance shots. Overall a good course to play. Not a very crowded course.

Cons:

Tulsa has so many courses that are better that it is hard to put that one on the list unless you live close to there. McClure is right around the corner and much more entertaining.

Pros:

Good tee pads. Pretty good mixture of long and short holes. Long throwers will have some advantage on the first few holes but there are some shorter holes later that will reward accuracy although I think being long is better on this course since most baskets are not hidden by trees or otherwisw protected. A good tee shot is essential.

Cons:

Some of the holes play across roads and the course is mostly flat without a lot of real challenges to contend with. Somewhat of a challenge to find the next tee.

Other Thoughts:

I thought this course was just OK the first time I played it but I just played it two more times and like it a little better. McClure park is nearby and a much better course in my opinion.

Notta bad 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 2, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good course with a mix of just about everything. There are big boomers that allow you to air it out and then there are some tight technical shots where you can practice your accuracy and then you can combine the two on the same hole. The navigation is pretty easy for first timers. There are good baskets and tee pads. Not many people out there so you arent in a rush and can play at your own pace. No real places to lose plastic so the newer players dont have to worry about that.

Cons:

The grass is tall. No real elevation so its just ok. There isnt alot of obsticles other then a tree here and there which makes for not many memorable holes. Once you leave your vehicle you dont come back until your done so make sure you bring everything you need with you. Not much shade so I bet it gets warm during the summer months.

Other Thoughts:

Close to Mcclure so it makes for an interesting 2 rounds of golf if Mcclure gets to busy. It would be interesting to see the "river" fill up because it has the potential of being huge.
