Pros:
-Black tee pads are awesome
-Black tees have awesome metal signs with a written description of the hole, as well as anything else you could know about the hole.
-Baskets are highly visible yellow DISCatchers, they are noticeably old and a little rusty, but they catch just fine.
-As with most wooded courses, the fairways are dirt and other sticks and things, but this isn't a bad thing and the fairways are easy to walk on and don't make weird skips or rolls.
-The ground of the rough is about the same as the fairway, but with more trees.
-This courses uses very good elevation, some holes are uphill, some are down, etc.
-This is a good woods course because there are good trees throughout the entire course, a lot of courses only have trees in the rough as a sort of punishment, but what makes this course good, is that it has trees in the fairway that actually enhance play.
-The map on DGCR is super helpful, that being said, there is no map at the course.
-Only one hole has a mando, but it is good, and enhances the hole
-A lot of holes have benches at the tees.
-A couple holes have lots of open space to get creative.
-No garbage laying on the fairways.
Cons:
-Red and Blue pads are natural, and barely indicated.
-Paths are loose dirt with roots, easy to loose your footing.
-Would be pretty tricky to navigate without the map, I got lost between 13 and 14 and had to check the map on most other holes.
-This is a pretty crowded course, which is just a personal preference, but I guess that just means that the course is popular.
-The course is in a small park for the number of holes and distance, so many fairways are right next to each other and it is pretty cramped.
Other Thoughts:
-This course gets a 3/4 on the new shoe index.
I liked this course, it is not to far away from Atlanta, and definitely worth the drive.
