Great practice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 16, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Close to 540. Long holes. Lots of parking. Enjoyed playing this course. Once I oriented myself to the start of the course it wasn't hard to find the baskets. Good use of the terrain around the Middle School. It is a 9 hole course that plays a little longer since several holes (#1, #2, #5, #7, #8) could easily be classified as par 4 holes.

Cons:

No signs and only #4 had a rock to mark the tee. There's a map on the dgcoursereview website. Make sure you download it before you go play this course. Very challenging to figure out where to throw from a tee since there was only one tee, a rock at the 4th hole. On the other hand not having a designated tee made it possible to make up each hole so the course doesn't necessarily play the same way twice.

Other Thoughts:

A fun and challenging course. Plenty of wide open spaces on most holes for you to really go for it.

Decent layout, bad otherwise. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 12, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

There's a practice basket, and all 9 holes have (okay) baskets. The layout isn't bad--each hole makes you throw a different shot. Good mix of long/short and open/wooded shots.

Cons:

No dedicated tee pads at all. You get a couple sidewalk pads, but most are dirt and undesignated. You're often just picking a spot to throw from. Very little signage on how to get from hole to hole, which would be nice since theyre quite spread out. Could use some maintenance clearing some branches as well. The course map gave a few alternate tees, but we couldn't find 5B, and you would have had to jump (and the throw over) a fence to get to 9B.

Other Thoughts:

With dedicated tee pads and some basic maintenance, this could be a decent 9 hole course. Otherwise, it's a bit of a choose-your-own-adventure experience.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 12, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Surprisingly fun, once you become familiar with the layout. The baskets are homemade, but are in good shape. The course design makes good use of the school campus grounds. Even though it is on school property, and you can't play the course on school days, the school itself doesn't come into play enough to be a problem. The course is easier than average, but not *too* easy, at least for recreational players. Good practice/beginner course.

Cons:

Some (actually, all) tees are hard to find. Tees are either marked with white marks on pavement, or with orange flags in the dirt. There are no signs, except from a sign near the practice target. Sometimes the fence leading directly to #8 is locked, resulting in a long walk around the school grounds. No restrooms or other amenities. While the course is surprisingly fun, it's still not as interesting as other area courses.
