Surprisingly fun! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Utilizes water hazard for three holes, and of those it's very much in play on two of them.
-While there is no elevation change, three of the baskets are placed at different heights to change the angle in any way possible. (One is in the ground and two are higher, one so much so that a ladder is needed to retrieve disc)
-Tee signs are very nice and give distance, par, hole layout info, etc.
-As of 7/25/2020, concrete pads were poured for 7 of the 9 holes. These pads are very long, level and nice.
-Course layout is good and flow is good.
-Despite being short in nature, there is some challenge with several mandos, ponds in play, trees, etc.
-Very nice, new baskets.

Cons:

-It is a little on the short side, and as such should be considered a rec course.
-Concrete pads were not yet poured for 8 and 9. The tee signs are there however and the molds for the pads are there, so I assume it will be soon that they are poured.

Other Thoughts:

This is a really nice shorter rec course. I've been to so many rec courses that had very little effort put into their construction, and this is NOT one of them. Time and money were put in with the signs, pads, baskets, layout, etc and it shows. I had pretty low expectations coming in since the course is housed on the grounds of campground, but my expectations were vastly exceeded. There is a nice course map at the start. There is an island hole which would require a very accurate tee shot (or for most of us a lay up and putt on). There is a hole where you pretty well have to clear a pond from the tees. There is a hole with the basket buried in the ground. There is a hole with the basket about 12-15 feet in the air, accessible only be a ladder. For being a short 9 hole course, there is a good amount of variety and fun. Some of the basket placements are kind of a novelty, but I think it's fun. I'd recommend checking this out one!
