Technical, Fun, & Clean 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 29, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course was a lot of fun to play! Other than the first hole being a straight shot, every other hole required some finesse of the disc. Lots and lots of trees to shoot around and not too much scrub brush to loose discs in. It was easy to navigate with beautiful new tee signs that have the actual camera image of where the pin location is (which was a big help to me, since it was my first time there). They also had the occasional arrow attached to a tree pointing you in the direction of the next tee (another big help).
The course was VERY clean and the starting mats where in good shape (some where old but still usable).

Cons:

If you like long open courses with huge drives... this is not your course.
I didn't care for the swampiness of hole #16, although they did have boards to walk on. I don't think I would want to play that hole after a few days of rain.
Also, some of the baskets had the cheaper single layer chains.

Other Thoughts:

I was told by one of the local players "you definitely will hit trees on this course" and he was absolutely correct! It made for some fun recovery shots. You have to realy "thread the needle" on some of the drives to get around the obstacles. I was told this course was just changed from a 9 hole to an 18 hole and I think they did an AWESOME job with the real estate they had to work with. I would sum it up as technical, fun, and clean!

Pros:

i love my home course. I feel that it is a perfect course for new players to learn the game, and experience players to bash some birdies! With the land we had i feel like they did the most with it. Bridges were put in on the swamp to make it playable and an unplayable hole 8 is much improved with a wall behind the basket. There is definatly a technical play factor that comes in here. Smart recovery shots and tight alleyways make this course fun for all.

Cons:

Longest hole is # 1, 320feet. Hole 16 in the late summer is almost worth skipping, snakes and losing your disc in the marsh like grasses are enough to make me skip ahead.

Other Thoughts:

Solid course. Great for all players. Enjoy a round in the summer and an ice cream after at the park stand.

Pros:

9 holes with brand new DIScatchers. Holes practically all birdieable, but maybe one or two true ace runs (I had one ace run on 7). Good mix of elevation, righty/lefty shots, fast greens. Tees are new and in very nice condition. Very scenic and not hard to get to. Other park amenities available as well. Round can be finished in easily 30 minutes (or less). Nice job on the tee signs.

Cons:

Although I like the set-up of the course, lots and lots of trees. This could truly make or break your round. It's only 9 holes (for now, I hope!)

Other Thoughts:

Although there really isn't a whole lot in the immedaite area, Hickory Run and FE Walter are maybe 30 minutes away and totally worth it. I will certainly play this again, and I would like to see it become 18.

Pros:

im glad to see this in my hometown where the course is basicly my backyard and i wanna thank the mayor for pushing for this and its good to see kids as young as 7 playing the course and giving other kids something to do when they would be doing nothing or something mischevious

Cons:

only downfall is only 9 holes but as long as it goes well im hoping the town sees the need for adding another 9

Other Thoughts:

Pros:

Fun technical course with good variety. Has good elevation changes and course has good signage. Very little brush and easy to find your disc.

Cons:

Course is a little on the short side, but does use all the room available.

Other Thoughts:

Is a great addition to Northeast Pa. I am glad to see some new courses.
Bottom line, I will go back.
