Pitch and put central 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 28, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has baskets
nice park
VERY short walk from Basket to next tee.

Cons:

Lack of tree's, specially in the fairways
Short holes
Next Tee's too close to baskets
Worlds shortest tee boxes
Very long walk from hole 18 to 1
No online map, was unable to find tee's on a few of the holes

Other Thoughts:

This is a GREAT beginner course or a good course to take new players too.

As for the seasoned player? not so good.

Played at 7:30am on a cold day, the fog was so thick I could not see the baskets on a few of the holes from the tee boxes. This made it a fun round on a pitch and putt course.

1st off, there are no signs of any sort marking the tee's. Most of the holes had either tee boxes facing the wrong direction or they were the worlds shortest tee boxes. (4 foot wide, 2 foot long)

I was trying to play fast, I started on hole 9 thinking I would just loop around. I did not realize how far away hole 18 was from hole 1.

You start off behind the playground just over the small wooden bridge. You will find a tee box under the tree over to the closest basket you see. Warning, these are wide very short tee boxes, only for your planting foot, not for run ups. (not that you need a run up on these short holes)

The course follows the path down and back up the other side of the wash (not enough water to call it a creek)

After hole 9, you cross the road. I was unable to find tee boxes for the holes between the pond and homes. I guess your suppose to tee off from the path next to the basket. That is what I did on these holes.

When you get to the "Dam" hole, you have tee boxes again..

I did not keep score, but I believe I hit the basket on my 2nd shot on every hole. I know I made at least 1/2 of them in 2, but got spit or banged the basket on the other 1/2.

This would make a great ace race course.

Would I play here again? I think I would, not much shade though. There are also several better courses nearby.

Pros:

This is a nice easy, flat, lightly wooded course with distances ranging from 175' - 300'. I think it would definitely fall into the category of pitch and putt. You could potentially score a -18 on this course if you can throw 300'.

Concrete tee pads but (see con #1)

The only real obstacles are a few small well placed trees, water that is just to the left of the fairway on a few holes, and wind.

Cons:

The concrete tee pads are at a right angle to the holes. Since the distances are short enough not to require a run up the tee pads work ok.

There are no tee signs and no distances posted anywhere. There is no online map, website or information board. This is not as big an issue as a heavily wooded course would be because you can see all the baskets from the tee pads and you can tell they are mostly 300' or less.

There is not much variety on this course. All 18 holes are very similar.

There are no trees to provide shade or block the wind so summer heat and high wind will be factors to consider before playing.

Other Thoughts:

This course will get better. They have planted trees everywhere that will grow and provide shade and obstacles. Someone will measure the distances and post them online soon.

This is a good family course. My wife and kids really liked the shorter distances. We will difinitely be playing this course more in the future. It would also be a great place to introduce someone to the sport.
