Worth a look or two 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Its a disc golfers nightmare and dream all at one time. Only around 1/2 hour from grand rapids it makes it worth playing from time to time. Will require you to pull everyshot out of your bag fro hyzer to hyzer flip. Air out that cannon arm of yours a couple of times and keep you praying to the tree gods in the tunnal shots

Cons:

course overgrowth can get a little thick at time. bring plenty of water with you durring the summer months.

Other Thoughts:

Not a beginner friendly course by any definishion. I have to say that this couse is in my top 20 or so that i have played in across four states.

Pros:

-Difficult course
-Constantly improving
-Tree removal is making it somewhat more open
-Putting practice basket

Cons:

-There is no marking of Par on the course, you need to know in advance
-Isn't finished yet
-Hole 16

Other Thoughts:

It's a good course, and is always busy. I recommend not playing it in the rain

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 2, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Nice selction of difficult yet fun to play holes. NIce long walk through a variety of environments.

Cons:

A few holes just seem kind of needlessely cruel. 16 definetly comes to mind here. You have to make a long distance drive through a narrow gap surrounded by incredibly sharp bushes. After you clear this, which is about 250 ft from the tee, you have 600 more feet of driving to do.

Other Thoughts:

Bring good hiking shoes, a few bottles of water and a long sleeve shirt for the thorn bushes and you should have a good time playing here. Whatever you do, do your best not to play at high noon in the summer, that was my mistake today.

Tough Going 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 20, 2007 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Challenging, with a good mixture of woods and open fields. Secluded and scenic. Very pretty in the fall. Each hole has two tees, pro and rec. Good mix of shot required, some open, some tight and technical, some left, others right, plenty of elevation.

Cons:

Most holes have a bad mixture of tight unforgiving fairways and extreme length which can be frustrating to newer players. One hole has to be somewhere in the 800 feet range (with a tight fairway and lots of trees). Could use better signage and tees.
