New and Improved, and plenty of people.

Pros:

Fitzgerald Park is a multi use park that has baseball fields, pavilions, abd walking trails. The park is stated as pay to play, but when I went there was no one at the entrance area.

Baskets - A few of the baskets are a bit wonky but these are mostly in good condition.

Tee signs/pads - most holes have a tee sign (I think one or two were missing) that has a small map with distance and basket locations. Cement tee pads on all holes. They are thinner than normal but should work for the most part.

Signature Holes - hole #6 is 400+ feet up hill with OB on both sides. Really dug this whole and it did a good job of using the land in place. Hole 16 had a weird hill in the middle and a pit as OB too. That is another hole that stood out to me.

Mixed play style - the first 6 holes are pretty wide open and the rest are in some tight wooded lines, and ends with two more pretty open holes.

Cons:

Multi Use Park - the first 5 holes are in areas where people are walking and sitting. While I was here I had to skip a few of the holes or stand around waiting for people to get off a path. I think on a few you even throw over walking paths which could be problematic.

Shot verity - a lot of turn overs or FH shots here. It's nice to get a change from all hyzers, but it can get fairly repetitive here.

Extras - for a pay to play course there were no trash cans, no benches (besides maybe one hole). Normally this isn't a huge thing but I feel like on pay to play courses these are a bit more needed.

Navigation - even using UDisc the navigation here is awful. It's hard to find stuff and they are kind of scattered around. My wife walked this with me and even made the comment "do they normally have this much walking between the holes"

Other Thoughts:

Over all the disc golf here is good and fun. It's got a lot of fun tight shots and some wide open bombers too. The park itself is fairly busy so can cause the first five holes to not be fun or having to wait a lot.

I used to play the old lay out a lot and I don't remember the difference a lot but I remember never having a ton of issues with people. If I. The area its worth checking out.

Really need a MAP! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 26, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Really nice property with variety in terrain and course uses the elevation changes well, requires some effort at times but not too strenuous. Overall maintenance is good.
Good Tee pads and baskets.
Mainly a technical course, accuracy and smart choices (line/shot/disc) are necessary.

Cons:

No Map, No directional signs/indicators. No hole information. Thank goodness for Udisc!
While I'm on the NO list, no benches and no trash cans. Maintenance does a good job keeping the course/park looking good but more trashcans would make it easier on all.

Other Thoughts:

Actually a really fun course once you find your way around (or have a local show you the way). Pretty easy to find a wayward disc though the ravines may make recovery a bit strenuous.

I don't believe a Pro player would get much challenge here but beginners and casual players can definitely work on their shot selection and accuracy.

A great course ruined by liabilty issues. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 28, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Nice variety of shots.
-Fairly little foot traffic.
-Pleasent scenic atmosphere.

Cons:

-Occasional events / Construction block holes or have pins removed entirely.
-Easy to lose discs on several holes due to water.
-No pads.
-Hard to navigate, even as a local favorite of mine, because they keep changing it and don't update their maps.

Other Thoughts:

I'm mainly reviewing this course to update the new changes. Once my favorite local course, now it's a decent round at best. Old 3, 4, and 5 are gone. All great holes. Old hole 6 (now 3?) had the 'pad' and pins moved, no longer the unique line it was. New 7 plays over a road, don't drop your disc in it or the water treatment people will 'break them in' with their trucks. Old 13, the signiture 'Down the cliff' hole is gone entirely. One pin is missing on New 11. New twelve and thirteen are in the woods and offer little to no playable lines. New 17 and 18 are a joke. One plays dead parallel with the park entrance road around a straight line of pines, play the line too close and its tire fodder. The other plays over in open field. Both fail to make use of the hill many locals use for drive practice, even though its dead center between one pad and the other pin. Epic fail.
