New Improved!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 10, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Fitzgerald Park is very clean and well maintained. New Tee pads are in and old rusted baskets have been replaced.

All shots are needed to play this course! 3 of the 4 new par 4's are in the first 6 holes. 7-16 are in the woods with straight, left and right holes proportionately. Hole #11 (Charlotte's Web) racks up more bogeys than any hole in the Lansing area under 200 feet. Hole #15 (Tiger Pit) is an easy deuce if you can get to the pit and make a 20 foot putt with the basket above your head. 17-18 finish back in the open with a hyser/anhyser option on 17. The road on the left, right, and over are O.B. 18 is a 290 foot gimme deuce for any right hander who can forehand. Backhanders beware of the road and concrete slab O.B.'s.

Cons:

Still waiting for new tee signs. May 2017???

No water hole(s).

Park does not supply maps or scorecards so first timers at the park must pay to get lost or follow a group that knows the layout .

Park does not put trash cans on the course because they would have to empty them. There is one on Hole #1 and Hole #17. WE are the trash picker uppers so Carry Your Crap Back Out With You!!!
