Fun and Challenging 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 18, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Technical, tightly wooded course with several elevation changes and mostly defined fairways. Well maintained with pro shop on site. Starts and ends near The Rivermen open air bar. Live music on summer weekends. Great for accuracy throwers and learning what your discs like to do.Beautiful forest, barely any green brier. Fun for the wild bunch as well as family friendly. Great addition to the WV disc golf scene, so get out there and throw.

Cons:

Uneven rubber tee's, steep hills can be troublesome for some people, but i enjoy the extra exercise. Some hole are pretty short, hills can be slippery when wet.

Other Thoughts:

We are trying to start a local DG club called New River Disc Slingers or NRDS, as we like to be called. Once we get up and going we are gonna try and level out tee pads and have a few alternate baskets and tee's. We're trying to get more people aware of how fun and addicting DG can be. If your interested stop by some time and ask us about it or hit us up at [email protected]. DISC GOLF FOREVER!!!

Pros:

Short course, not too much walking, but a great activity after white water or doing some of the other great activities of this beautiful area of West Virginia.

Cons:

Will look forward to the next play there, maybe with 18 holes.
