Great 9 hole course. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 22, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well kept park, nice and clean.
Great use of the land for the course.
Some fun with elevation change and tree placement.
Older baskets, but still catch great.
Each holes sign could use some love, but gives you the distance.
Park is busy, but no threat of hitting anyone

Cons:

My biggest take away was the natural teeboxes, loose gravel does not make for good footing.
Would love to see concrete teepads be put in.
A few areas of some standing water and mud, but that isn't a concern in the summer months.

Other Thoughts:

Overall a really fun course, definitely play the course if your in the area. It won't give you the hardest time in difficulty, but sometimes it's just about having fun right.

Nice Park 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 31, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Tee signs for all holes
Baskets are numbered also
Pond comes into play
Slight elevation on several holes (good for Texas)
Several large trees
decent flow
Starts and ends at the front of the parking lot.

Cons:

Crushed granite tee area, no marking for the end of the tee, sign is located at the back of the tee area.
No direction signs to the next hole, however it is easy to follow EXCEPT for hole #9.

Other Thoughts:

I was not expecting much from this course, However when I pulled into the parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised at the park. I would enjoy playing here if it were my hometown.

Hole 1 tee's off right next to the parking lot near the entrance of the park. Nice uphill shot into a set of trees.

Hole 2 is a nice 300+ foot shot with 2 key trees in the way blocking a hyzer or anhyzer shot.

Hole 3 is a simple ace run

Hole 4 is a fun shot down the hill with the pond behind the hole. Watch out, you will loose a disc if you go for the ace run.

Hole 5 is a nice little hole with the pond to the left and behind the basket. Watch out for other park users here. I had fishermen behind and to the left.

Hole 6, you will have noticed the tee sign as you walked to 5, nice distance, but you have to cross a sidewalk between the pond and the parking lot. There are tree's on the right that block a true hyzer shot at the basket.

Hole 7 tees off near the pond up across where a bridge is (so again, you have to watch out for other park users) and up the hill. Key tree's force your shot.

Hole 8 is a boring wide open 300 downhill shot with a small creek behind the hole and the dog park on your left.

Then you have to walk to the other side of the dog park and up the hill for tee #9.

Hole 9 is down the hill (to the parking lot), key tree's block a hyzer shot and right handers will have to watch throwing into the street. Not a bad hole, just a long walk from #8 to #9 tee's area.

That is really my only true complaint about this course. The long walk from 8 to 9.

Fun little 9 holer 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's in a nice park with a playground and restrooms. There's also a dog park. The grass was mowed very short. All around nice park.

-The course design made the best use of this land. Kudos to Life Disc Sports.
-There's some elevation changes.
-Trees come into play frequently in the fairway and around the basket. Large hardwood trees.
-Water is present, but not too close for beginners.
-Varying distances, although all are under 400 feet.
-The Mach II baskets are in good shape and caught my discs well.
-Tee signs.
-Surprising fun factor due to good design.

Cons:

-Dirt / gravel tee pads. They weren't real bad, but I slipped on the gravel on the #5 tee.
-The pond appeared to have a silt bottom and thick vegetation right behind the #4 basket. It looks like a good place to lose a disc.
-The playground was pretty full on a hot Wednesday afternoon. It's probably crowded on the weekends.

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun little course with some interesting holes to play. It's a shame the park is so small. #8 is an open "air it out" hole with only the dog park as OB short and to the left. Otherwise, trees are well placed obstacles that are fair, but there.

This isn't a "destination" course, but definitely worth playing if you're passing through town. Well worth the stop. I'll play it again soon.
