Pros:
Has natural tee pads that are flat and fair to tee off from
Has white PVC pipe as posts only indicating hole number
Course navigation without a map is fairly straightforward
More open than wooded fairways - beginner friendly
Quiet - had whole course to myself on a snowy Friday morning
Free parking
Cons:
Safety issues - course has a few holes that play near the road and playground
No variety in pars - par 27
Course is mostly flat
Other Thoughts:
This is a short 9 hole course in Carroll County that I enjoyed playing as my first snow round. This course is pretty basic and doesn't have anything that really stands out. Each hole has a white PVC pipe as a tee marker and a Mach 2 basket if I'm not mistaken. I would have to guess that each hole is shorter than 300 ft with many birdie opportunities for a seasoned player. The course would probably be best enjoyed by the beginner or junior. I think some holes play fairly close to the road and playground - which would be more of a concern if this park is ever crowded. I played here while it snowed so I didn't know where to park exactly. I parked in the church parking lot and it was a short walk to hole #1 tee and from hole #9 basket. The course flows in a clockwise direction starting near the church and cemetery and ends at the playground - with the halfway point at the other side of the baseball field near Park Ave. This is an easy course to bag and shouldn't take long to play if you're in the area.
