Heavily wooded 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 15, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Really good basket placements. Interesting. ... All kinds of shots are needed on this course. It will test you. And that's a good thing. ..... They make an "attempt" at posting signs in the trees, pointing out the next tee. But it is FAR from being enough. There just doesn't seem to be enough pedestrian traffic to wear down any discernible paths to either the tees or the baskets. This course is heavily wooded, and has serious weeds. ...... The Yakima River is nearby, but doesn't come into play at all. Not even for viewing. That's too bad.

Cons:

Poor, really poor navigation. Even though there 'might' be a sign pointing you in the right direction, you still have to search for the tee pad, and then the basket. ..... And some of the pads are horrible. Maybe a piece of carpet on the ground (if you're really lucky)? Or at times just a log layed sideways, leaving you guessing. ...... THIS IS ONE SERIOUSLY NOISY COURSE. It's right next to Rt. I 90. Hard to believe you can be that deep in the woods, and still practically have to shout to be heard, especially when a line of trucks come roaring by. ..... There's some dangerous dried up creek beds to cross. Some have nice little bridges, some have all broken up little bridges.

Other Thoughts:

I actually walked off of this course after hole 13. Never could find the #14 tee pad. And after spending so much time searching out every single pad/basket, I finally had enough, and walked a 1/4 mile down the dirt road back to my car. ..... I was pretty disappointed. ..... I couldn't imagine playing this course in the middle of the summer --- between all of the weeds, and bugs. ...... CARETAKERS --- please put in some directional signs, clear some distinct trails leading to the next tee pad, and work on the pads themselves. You have a good start to a decent course, but you have a long, long way to go.
