pond? 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 29, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

+DISCatchers
+next tee signs
+variety (left-right, short-long)
+easy stop off freeway
+not busy (isolated)
+scenic (river, mountains)
+practice basket (close to 18's, so warm up back & forth is great)
+bridges over the little stream

Cons:

-not maintained (overgrowth)
-no restroom/trash-bins
-gravel tees w/o signs
-no elevation change (1 elevated basket)
-north-side freeway (noise) & dirt road in the middle
-navigation (next tee signs can only do so much w/o more traffic to make trails)

Other Thoughts:

having "pond" in the course name makes you think there would be at least one pond in play at some point, but there is not. there is a stream that runs through the front 12 that comes into play on 7,8, and 12.
the reason I enjoyed my time here could be that my home courses are mostly wide open. playing a tightly wooded course was a fun change for me. my discs took some beatings. pretty clear lines to hit on most holes, just a matter of hitting them. hole 14, the one par 4, didn't have a clear fairway, which i guess is why it's a par 4. almost all holes required a walk halfway up the fairway to locate the basket. the baskets are old, but still catch well. I didn't see another set of tees (was looking for any tee), but they are listed here. I'm rating this course .5 higher to even out the old reviews that were for the course when it had < 18 holes. if it ever gets better tees it will deserve that .5. After playing I wanted to get another round in with the knowledge of how each hole played, so I will be stopping the next drive on I90.

great I-90 quick stop! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 13, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

lucky for me, my dad and i was playing there for first time, we ran into a local disc golfer, he explained us where to go, where is next teepad and such like that. i could remember where are those teepads and basket after my few visits there.

challenge and fun!

people complained about noises from I-90, i don't care... i"m deaf.

my last visit was July 2015, it seem in progress to make up new concrete teepads everywhere, (it had 2x4 plywood set up) it was natural grounding before that.

additional new hole. it had 18 basket, and hole 18 was damaged from vandalism, and recently, new basket were installed for 18th basket.

very quiet!!! especially on weekend-always quiet!!!

2017 update!!!! I am nice enough to step up, and made about dozens orange arrows for navigation issues. they are currently under the baskets. They are for going to next tees. Hope you will find this helpful!

Cons:

still no signs of where basket/feet, such like that, my last visit, i didn't know that they had A and B pin, got me confused for a bit.

garbage everywhere. i believe it was only 2 trash can on hole 6 or 7, yet always full every time i visited there. back 9 are often hard to find, less trash there, because people doesn't know where it is.

from hole 11 to 12, you have to walk across road to find hole 12. keep your eyes on new teepads.

tall grass does eat up your discs.

Other Thoughts:

love it! hope to see this course to complete the teepads progress and need to work on signs, this will pull up the reviews!
