Great New (2022) Beginner Course drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 28, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very nice mown grass.
Very easy to see where the next tee is located.
Very nice baskets.
Very nice permanent signage (See Pics!)
Very nice long level cement pads.
A great playground for the little ones!

Cons:

Most of the course is under some high voltage power lines (might be a con for some). If your disc goes off course on hole two, you've got sticker bushes on the right, and tall grass w/ cat tails on the left. The fella I was playing with lost a disc on the right. Starting at hole 6, you're going up hill. I was huffin' & puffin' but I'm outta shape!!
Grass probably gets very soggy during wet times. Don't forget to bring a towel!

Other Thoughts:

Hole 1's tee (and very nice course sign) is to the right of the barn & playground.

Course with potential drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 30, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Brand new course as of this review.
Nice long concrete Tee Pads, signage, benches and extra short throw baskets for kids. Arrow in the basket points to next tee which I've never seen before. Clean friendly environment.

Cons:

Blackberries:
They outline the entire course. Seems odd that this would be designed with kids in mind, but have left these dense jungles of unmanageable disc recovery in tact.
Tee pads need to be finished off with drainage rock or bark chips before wet weather hits. Could use a few more technical add ins such as trees. Needs a practice basket

Other Thoughts:

A few organized work crews to cuts paths into Blackberries at vital points such as near baskets is sorely needed at time of review. This short course park has potential, and hopefully the adopt a park program can make it a better park worth returning to!
